DOING GOD A SERVICE
Tuesday – May 26, 2020, Sivan 3, 5780
Greetings to our dear and wonderful friends and partners of this Ministry and The Three Minute Word blog. It is an absolute honor and privilege to teach the Word of God. God is so good and He is nothing but good. As I heard a man of God say: God, our God, does not have a dark side. Hope you enjoy the beautiful picture today and tomorrow taken at Manson Park on the Sebasticook River in Pittsfield Maine. By the time you read this, those trees will be fully clothed with leaves. As we prepare to dive back into our Bible Study of the Book of John recall that Jesus is talking to His disciples and us in the final few hours of His earthly Ministry. In just a few hours He will be on the Cross and in three days risen from the dead and restored fully as God. He is warning us all that they hated Him and they will hate us. They persecuted Him and they will persecute us. The central issue of the persecution will be the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus spoken in faith activates unlimited Power. The thing that is most troubling is that they hated Him without a cause and they will hate us without a cause. Remember when they wanted to stone Him and He asked for what good work were they stoning Him.
John 10:30-34 (KJV)
30 I and my Father are one.
31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
Jesus did nothing but good in His life on the earth yet was hated to the point of being murdered. Our life is to mirror His. We are one with Jesus and with the Father. Is that blasphemy or is it our reality and can be the reality of others? Notice verse thirty-four. I have written extensively on this and believe me suggesting that we are gods, not Gods (capital G), but gods will get you thrown out of places. The Scripture is clear that we are made in His likeness and image (Genesis 1:26) and the essence of God was breathed into us (Genesis 2:7) minus the three main attributes of God (omnipresence, omnipotence, and omniscience). We are the children, the sons and daughters of the Most High God, we are of like kind, in the god class, not like cats and dogs.
Spiritually we are as He is today (1 John 4:17) and soon we will have a glorified body like unto His (Philippians 3:21). Jesus did not come and pay the penalty of sin so that we could hang on for dear life until we die (due to the curse not our choice) or go by way of the Rapture (Catching away). No, we have everything and more to do all that Jesus did and the greater things. Why are we slack? We just plain don’t believe it, we have been feed watered down milk and pablum (bland or insipid intellectual fare, entertainment, etc.; pap) way too long. Jesus reminds these disciples and us that they would not be alone and neither are we alone. He is telling us all these things so that we do not become offended, that we be not entrapped by the devils. When we are entrapped, we cannot do the things He did nor the greater things. Exactly what the devil wants to see. So, whose will is currently being accomplished in the earth, that of God or the devil? To help with that answer consider that we are not seeing nor doing the things Jesus did or the greater things. Now, let’s once again read our primary Bible text before I finish for today and yes, read it out loud.
John 16:1-4 (KJV)
1 These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.
2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.
3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.
4 But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.
At the end of verse two above Jesus says there will be those who throw us out of Church and even kill us and do it fully convinced they are doing God a service. Remember that the most ardent foes of Jesus were the religious leaders of the day and in the end, they put Him on the Cross. They were so enamored by the traditions of men, and the doctrines of devils they had lost sight of the Truth and walked in a dense darkness. They thought they had a righteous cause but they were wicked, in gross darkness, and doing the will of the prince of darkness. Saul, before he was converted and ordained an Apostle and called Paul, was a religious zealot who persecuted, imprisoned, and killed Christians thinking he was right and doing God a service. Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. We love you here at Eastern Gate Ministries International and there is nothing you can do about it.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
