HE THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH

Greetings to all the precious saints and those who are not yet saints, and welcome back to this powerful (if received, believed, and acted upon) Bible Study of the Book of John. Those who are not yet saints are those who are not born again, don’t know Jesus as Lord and risen Savior. The picture today features one of our backyard rascals (Mr. Rocky Racoon) trying to get the birdseed from a bird feeder. I have since fixed it so he can’t raid the birdseed. Please take a moment to share these teachings as widely as possible. As saints of God, sons of God, we are not to live impoverished, disease laden, and frustrating lives, but we are to have abundance in our resources, health, and mental environment. This happens only if we receive, believe, confess, and walk out the Word of God as written in context. We must have faith, believe the Word of God, to please God (Hebrews 11:6), we must be led of love otherwise it is trash in the eyes of God, and we must be led of the Holy Spirit. No faith or little faith is not pleasing to God, on our way to Heaven, but no reward. Faith without works is dead. Faith powered by love (agape) accomplishes the will of God.
1 Corinthians 13:2 (CJB)
2 I may have the gift of prophecy, I may fathom all mysteries, know all things, have all faith — enough to move mountains; but if I lack love, I am nothing.
James 2:20 (KJV)
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
Galatians 5:6 (KJV)
6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
I can’t speak for you but I don’t want to get to the Judgment Seat of Christ and be called a vain (unsuccessful) man (James 2:20). I don’t want Jesus to say; “David you did not live and act in love therefore these things gather no reward”. I want to stand before my Savior beaming and see Him beaming back at me. Now, let’s turn our attention to our main Bible text and read it out loud, yes, out loud. Faith comes by hearing not thinking or watching and faith increases or becomes stronger by usage. I don’t know about you but I want to be known for great faith, with abounding evidence of great faith, not just been talking about faith.
John 16:12-16 (KJV)
12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
Let’s pick up today talking about the Spirit of truth. First, it seems to me that the word ‘truth’ should start with a capital ‘T’ for the “truth” is Divine. At its core ‘truth’ is the Word of God. Consider the following Scriptures.
John 14:6 (KJV)
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus tells us plainly He is “the truth” and we know that He is the Word, and the Word is truth.
John 1:1 (KJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Jesus was the Word that became flesh (John 1:14).
John 17:17 (KJV)
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
To sanctify is to make one blameless, holy, or pure. This comes about by washing with the Word of God. Just hearing the Word of God does not make one blameless, holy, or pure. The Word of God must be received, believed, and acted upon. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, will do the rest. Now, let’s move forward.
John 16:13 (KJV)
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, guides us into all truth which is the Word of God, knowledge of Jesus, the Word. The Holy Spirit does not speak of Himself but guides us to and speaks of Jesus, the Word. There is nothing above the Word of God not even the names of God (Psalm 138:2). Truth and love are inexorably linked together just as are faith and love (agape). God is love.
Psalm 119:142 (KJV)
142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
The law (Bible Law) is the Word of God which is truth. Now for a direct link of love and truth.
Matthew 22:36-40 (KJV)
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Everything hangs on love and thus on the truth (Truth). So, the Spirit of Truth will guide us into all the Truth, the Word of God, which is love (Who is Love), and the highest commandment is love (agape).
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
