HOW DARE YOU
Tuesday – February 19, 2019, Adar A 14, 5779
Greetings dear partners and friends of this Ministry and The Three Minute Word Publication and welcome back to our Bible study of the Book of John. Remember if you are accessing this on Facebook to please “share” with your friends to multiply the reach of this ministry, the reach of the gospel for which we are all responsible. God is good, in our obedience the Word will manifest in our lives and that will be very attractive to everyone around us except the devils. These devils are way under our feet, we have absolute authority over them, and they should be no more than a nuisance, much like a fly in the house. On the other hand, the people they are influencing or directing must be approached and ministered to as the Lord leads with patience, gentleness, mercy, and love turned to high. Now, let’s turn our attention to the Bible teaching at hand from the wonderful Book of John reading it aloud.
John 7:21-25 (KJV)
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel.
22 Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.
23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?
24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
25 Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?
You will recall that Jesus as healed a man on the Sabbath and has referred to God as His Father and the people are in a rage and want to kill Him. Let’s go back and briefly review that.
John 5:8-9 (KJV)
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
Please notice that Jesus gives an order, a command, to the man, to the disease, the Power of God flowed and the disease bows its knee and the man is made whole. Jesus told us that He never said anything the Father did not say, nor did He do anything He did not see the Father doing, and the Father did the works. Faith in the man was present, the Anointing on Jesus was present and the will of God was known to Jesus and a miracle took place. It is to be exactly the same in our lives and ministry. Not different, the same!! Jesus did not ask the Father to do it, He knew the will of the Father, He commanded the will of the Father, and the Father backed it up. He, the Father, will do the same for us! Jesus was operating as an Anointed man in the earth, He was not operating as God, a man, we are Anointed men and women in the earth and are to emulate Him. This takes a great sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, and great faith which only comes by hearing the Word of God and spending great amounts of time purposely with Him and talking to Him all day about everything. Next, we see the situation deteriorate even further.
John 5:17-18 (KJV)
17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
Whoa, things just got exponentially worse in the mind of the religious class and the observant Jews. Not only has He done work by healing a man on the Sabbath violating one of the big ten commandments but He refers to God as His Father. They already wanted to kill Him but we now see “the Jews sought the more to kill him”. Of course, they never do succeed in killing Him, He surrendered His life as a sacrifice for us, took our sin and the curse of sin, and gave us His righteousness that we could be the righteousness of God in Him. Jesus was walking the earth as an Anointed man, God who choose to become flesh for us (Love on display), is our prime example. We learn much from all the other personalities in Scripture but they are not our prime example, Jesus is our prime, central example. You have been listening to me, now, let’s see what Jesus says about all this.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
So, if Jesus listened for the Father and only did what the Father said, and Jesus only did what He saw (consistent with Scripture) the Father do, and Jesus commanded the man, and God, the Father, made the man whole should we do the same. Perhaps, I should find a reasonably deluded theologian to interpret the preceding verse where Jesus tells us to do it the same way He did. Not only are we to do the works He did but there are greater works for us to do since Calvary cleared the way giving full dominion, authority, and the Blessing back to us in the earth. Perhaps, you are wondering if I will get back to the text directly and Lord willing, I will do so tomorrow.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
