I AM THAT I AM
Friday – December 2, 2016

Eastern Gate Ministries International and The Three Minute Word publication greet you all in the name of Jesus. Praise the Lord for He is good and thinks and says only good on our behalf. God has had a plan from the beginning for all that would make Him their God and there is not one bit of bad in that plan. There is not one bit of poverty of any kind in that plan and there is not any sickness of any kind in the plan of our God. The Church pictured is the Stonington First Methodist Episcopal Church located in Walsh, Colorado. Is this Church in poor repair and abandonment the condition of the Church of God (not the denomination) today or is it much worse and we only think it is great in the deep deceptions of the enemy? Back to Ephesians.
Ephesians 3:7-9 (KJV)
7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
I left off yesterday speaking about the paradigm or construct by which we can more clearing think and speak about our God who is One and who is Triune. Recall that we are talking about the phrase “God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:” I noted that ‘by’ also means through, like a culvert or conduit or channel. I pointed out that we are three part beings and so is our God. This should not be a shocker since we are created in His image and likeness. God is the brains or the thinker the mind if you will, Jesus is the body, and the mouth of God, and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, the power of God. Now let’s take a look at the Scriptures again that I left for us to meditate yesterday.
John 8:28-29 (KJV)
28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
Jesus tells us that He only said and did what the Father instructed Him to say and do. We know that once it is said the Holy Spirit is the power of God is accomplish whatever the will of the Father might be. In the preceding passage I want to point out something that is very interesting and illuminating. Notice in the twenty-eighth verse the phrase “then shall ye know that I am he”. The ‘he’ is italicized which means that the translators of the King James Version of the Bible added that for clarity or continuity but it was not in the oldest manuscripts available to these translators. So with the ‘he’ removed the section would read “then shall ye know that I am”. Remember the “I Am” from Exodus.
Exodus 3:13-14 (KJV)
13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
Jesus tells us that He is the ‘I Am’ and that is who was speaking from the burning bush that was consumed not and the fire that consumed not the bush was a manifestation of the Holy Spirit. When God brought the children of Israel out of the bondage of Egypt He led them with a cloud by day and a fire by night both of which were a manifestation of God appreciated in the physical realm of the Holy Spirit. In another place (John 14:10) Jesus tells us that it is not Him who is doing the works but the Father. Jesus makes it clear (John 8:28) that He is saying only the things taught Him of the Father. Jesus says that “he that sent me is with me” and then He goes on to say “the Father hath not left me alone” indicating that the Father is not there but the Holy Spirit who is just as much God as the Father and the Son is there with Jesus. God, the Triune God demonstrated this Truth right from the beginning.
Genesis 1:2-3 (KJV)
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Notice that the Spirit of God is moving over the waters over the face of the earth. Then God, Elohim (pleural God) speaks, it is Jehovah’s idea (the Father), the Word (later Jesus) speaks, and the Holy Spirit took what was spiritual, the Words of God, and made them physical. The Spirit of God created photons the physical substance that when activated allows us to see. In the Spirit, when the Word of God is spoken by the leadership of the Spirit and is anointed of God it brings light. Jesus said my words are spirit and life (John 6:63).
John 6:63 (KJV)
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
I trust that this Bible Study has been enlightening and profitable.
