AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

I HAVE GIVEN THEM THE WORDS YOU GAVE ME
Greetings to all of the dear and precious saints who diligently study and prove (Acts 17:11) this blog. It’s not true or Truth because I said it, it is true or Truth because God said it. Welcome back to this wonderful and powerful Bible Study of the Book of John. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible. Before we dive into today’s Bible Study be reminded that we are less than two months from a pivotal election. All elections are very important. We, God’s people, the Church, have an obligation to vote. Watching the Church vote (and about half don’t) and then seeing how they voted in the exit polls or post-election analysis is beyond frustrating. I don’t know the heart of anyone like the Lord does nor do I know how much light (reveled Word of God) others have who vote in ways absolutely antithetical (opposing, hostile) to Scripture. I am not qualified to be anyone’s judge. Please study the Bible and vote according to the Scripture and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We will not be led by the Holy Spirit to vote differently than what is found in Scripture. We will not be led by God to not vote (violates stewardship), or vote for persons who promote abortion, sexual perversion, or those who have less than a full-throated support of Israel.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, yes, out loud.
John 17:6-10 (KJV)
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
The title for this teaching is taken from verse eight, can we say the same as what Jesus said to the Father? Are we saying some of what He, God, says and then a whole lot of other stuff? Are we speaking in faith, faith in God, faith in the Word of God? What about faith in the other words, those not of God, we are speaking those as well? I can’t speak for you but I know that the most exhilarating conversations with other people in my life have to do with the Word of God, the things of God. That is not to say I don’t have interesting and exciting conversations concerning other subject matter but somehow it does not have the same life and excitement. As our Lord is talking to His Father and our Father, we are not to take away that we must quote Scripture all the time. What we must take away however is that all we say must not go crossways, contradict, or violate the Scripture.
There is no time or space in the spirit realm. As we listen in on this prayer of Jesus to the Father, we can glean much instruction. You will notice that He, Jesus, is making statements that are not true at that very moment but will be true. In other words, He is calling things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17). We are to do the same in our own lives and ministry as led of the Holy Spirit. Let’s look at verse eight a little closer.
John 17:8 (KJV)
8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
Has Jesus given them and us the Words the Father gave Him? Yes. Did they receive them? Well, yes and no as the subsequent events will show. Are they sure of those words and that He came out from the Father? The events of the next hours and days would suggest they did not. As we know their doubts and fears dissipated over the subsequent fifty days and they developed great faith following the Day of Pentecost. What Jesus spoke to the Father in faith came to pass. We are to do exactly the same thing. For example, how many are declaring their children and house saved in faith based on the Word of God and how many are begging God to save your children and house? Which prayer will get answered? You and I may never see our children confess Jesus as Lord and serve Him but we should never waver in our faith that He will indeed do all that is possible without violating their freewill. When we highly value His Son, He will highly value our children, even our whole house. Rejoice and again I say rejoice and be glad for He is Lord and His Word shall never fall to the ground. Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
