I KNOW HIM
Tuesday – February 26, 2019, Adar A 21, 5779
Greetings dear friends and partners of this Ministry and welcome back to these teachings that will build our faith and transform our lives it acted upon. The featured picture today is also from the ranch and feature the buffalo named Adam and Eve. That was a fun time, as I am sure you realize most people don’t have buffalo and you likely don’t know anyone with buffalo. However, if you came to the ranch during those years you could have gotten close and personal, perhaps closer than you might desire. I will now move on with this powerful Bible Study of the Book of John. First, let’s take a look at our text reading it aloud.
John 7:28-31 (KJV)
28 Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
29 But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.
30 Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.
31 And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?
Each of us might be wise to ask ourselves, “Do I know Him?” I am not talking about being saved, but do I know Him. Have I been devouring the Word of God as my own? Have I been spending time, lots of good quality time, with Him? I am not talking about some quick liturgical prayer and a quick read of a chapter in the Bible. I am talking about serious time with Him. He is always with all of us but like someone in our home we can spend time and know them or we can act like they are not even there. How well do we get to know the people with whom we spend no quality time? We don’t get to know anyone in our Church including Christ Jesus by sitting in Church each week no matter how attentive we appear or energetic our presence may be. We have to spend quality time with people, we have to spend quality time with our Savior and determine to make Him Lord of all. I have heard Pastor John Hagee say that, “Jesus is either Lord of all or He is not Lord at all”. We need to push past having fire insurance (salvation) into making the house secure and doing our part to expand the house (making Jesus Lord of all).
Amos 3:3 (KJV)
3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
One might exclaim, Dr. Wood I am walking with the Lord, we are in agreement! I might respond with, really? Would there be evidence of agreement for others to see? Most certainly there would be evidence. If we are thinking, saying, and doing the things Jesus did would we get an inferior result? Of course not! That would be unjust, if there is anything our Lord is not, that would be unjust!
Psalm 89:14 (AMP)
14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; mercy and loving-kindness and truth go before Your face.
Next Jesus exclaims I am from Him (the Father) and I didn’t just come of my own accord, He sent me! Understand dear saints there is not difference of will between the co-equal persons of God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. In the counsels of Heaven before the foundation of the world Jehovah, the Word, and Holy Spirit expressed a unified will and joined a Covenant together for this present creation. Let me ask you brother and sister a question that may cause hair to catch on fire and heads to explode among the dear religious folks among us. The question is this, are we from Heaven, and did the Father send us into the earth?
While you are thinking about this let me take you on a little aside. Many of you have heard me talk about Quantum Physics or Mechanics (I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination but it does have my imagination). This science this quantum world is most illustrative of the spiritual and I have thought in the past that this is where our purely physical world and the purely spiritual worlds meet and overlap in a continuum. Now would be a good time to wet your hair down. In the quantum world it has been shown that a thing, an electron (part of an atom) can be in two places simultaneously and react or act in coordination. We know that God is everywhere present, what we call omnipresence. Please recall from the creation that we, mankind, are spiritually created in the image and likeness of God (all three persons). We can also see now the physical body was also in the image and likeness of the body God in the person of Jesus would have one day. What happens to us at salvation? Yes, our spirit is made alive by Grace (Holy Spirit) but what else? Before you read the next verse, you might want to add a little more water to your hair.
Ephesians 2:6 (KJV)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
The Apostle Paul is talking to Christians here and this is in the past tense, something that is already happened. Now, don’t scurry around to find a good theologian to confuse you, just believe the Word of God. At salvation our spirit man exists in two places, in Heaven and our physical body. Our mind (spiritual organ) is attached to both and all the Power of Heaven is available to both. Let that marinate and I will pick with our study in John tomorrow Lord willing.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
