TREASURED ABOVE SILVER AND GOLD
Monday – February 25, 2019, Adar A 20, 5779
Greetings precious and treasured friends and partners, even those of you who do not consider yourself a friend or a partner, and welcome to the teaching of the Truth. The featured picture today is of yours truly showing off most likely for the ranch lady on the ranch we owned in Texas. As I was preparing for the day and to write this morning (28 January) in prayer, meditation, conversation with the Lord I was brought to tears with further revelation of how precious and treasured the people who have been, are now, and will be, in our lives must be in our thinking. Before the foundation of the world, before man was created, there was a plan in place to redeem us if we abandoned God due to the deceptions of the devil. We are in a Blood Covenant relationship with Jesus, with God, in Christ Jesus. We have the same Covenant with the Father that Jesus has with the Father. The Father paid the largest dowry by far for the bride of Christ which is us. We were redeemed with the precious Blood of Christ, if that Blood was precious, and that was the payment for us, each and everyone of us is precious in the sight of God. This Blood was more valuable than all created things like silver and gold and therefore each and every person on this earth, in the past, now, and in the future is valued above all treasure. Brothers and sisters, we must determine in our hearts to not dare think anything different about the people around us.
1 Peter 1:18-20 (KJV)
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
Now that I have that Word of the Lord off my chest, the Word from the Living Voice that sits upon the Throne. Now, let’s turn our attention to this wonderful Bible Study from the Book of John. It is my prayer, my hope, that each of you are focusing on the Word being provided, not as just another devotional, but a devotional that God Himself has ordained that I write and that we both use to grow in faith and love with corresponding actions. We can assent for a life time, nod our heads and say; “yep, I believe that” but without corresponding actions it amounts to nothing in your life or my life, or for the Kingdom of God. Now, lets read our primary text aloud getting it in our eyes, in our mouths, and in our ears. Faith is coming, are we prepared to step into the corresponding actions required?
John 7:28-30 (KJV)
28 Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
29 But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.
30 Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.
In our text we find Jesus crying out in the Temple, He is speaking with a very loud voice, He is speaking earnestly, one can imagine a certain desperation, exasperation, sadness in the voice. I see this on a very tiny scale compared to what He could see that day and what He sees this day from the Throne of Heaven. I see people so tangled up in religion and in the full grasp of the enemy thinking they are doing the will of God and are far from it. Even thinking that their present suffering in their finances, health, and so on is the will of God and that God is getting glory from their suffering. How perverted will we allow the enemy to twist our minds? No one is deceived by accident or without full consent and knowledge. Our Savior came to make possible a victorious Church. I don’t mean just barely victorious or victorious once in a while but day in and day out. I am sure you already know this but it is a minute to minute battle in the mind requiring total vigilance and sobriety. Jesus is in the Temple! If Jesus was in your Temple (Church) yesterday, would He have cried the same thing? Oh, my God, help us, help us to be conformed to your Word to think, say, and do what you do!
Jesus then points out the deceitfulness that is in the hearts of those in the Temple that day. Can you imagine Him saying to anyone of us, that we know He is the Christ, that we know He is from Heaven, that He was sent of the Father, but we have no idea who the Father really is? Jesus has made this point over and over, that they think they know God but they don’t have a clue and it is breaking His heart and will soon take Him to the Cross.

25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
