I LAY DOWN MY LIFE
Friday – May 31, 2019, Iyar 26, 5779

Greetings dear friends and partners of Eastern Gate Ministries International and The Three Minute Word publication. As many of you know, this beautiful couple were married on Saturday the 25th. The pictures for this week are from a recent trip we took to Boothbay, Maine. We are now married one full week and I am pleased to report that we are both alive and uninjured. God is so good, He will, if you allow, make all things new and over the top better for you just as He has for us. He will replace a loss with far better, this is how our Lord operates. Before we move into this powerful Bible Study of the Book of John let me remind those who are reading this on Facebook to hit the “like” and “share” buttons. Now let’s read our primary Bible text aloud.
John 10:14-18 (KJV)
14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
My, what a powerful passage of Scripture we have been studying this week. These are the Words of our Savior and they are immensely reassuring to all of us children. I will pick up today with the fourteenth verse. You have no doubt noticed that there are certain things that Jesus repeats and therefore are of great importance to us. Anything He thinks is important enough, anything the Father thinks is important enough to repeat through Him is extraordinarily important to us. We need to give these things our closest attention. Of course, we need to give all of Scripture, especially the parts written expressly to us, but all, our closest attention. There is nothing one can read that surpasses the importance of Scripture. We know with a certainty that Jesus is the door, the only door to the Kingdom of God.

We see this prophetically illustrated in the ancient Tabernacle. There was one door that allowed access to the alter, to the Holy Place, and the Most Holy Place. To have any consideration in the Most Holy Place where the Presence of God was present with the Ark of Covenant, and the Covenant, was through the one door.
Something else you may find interesting about the gate or door to the tabernacle is that it was twenty cubits or thirty feet divided into two ten-cubit sections or fifteen-foot sections or panels. All of these numbers are interesting and immensely meaningful. Thirty represents the Blood of Christ, twenty represents redemption, fifteen represents the rest or provision of God, and ten is the number of responsibilities. I am always so amazed as to how the Bible numbers add such depth to the message. The Blood of Jesus paid the price of sin, gave us eternal life, gives us protection, and ratifies the Blood Covenant. The Blood of Jesus provides for us full redemption even to the extent of His redemption. He certainly is our provision and gives us entry into all the Kingdom of God affords which is beyond human thought or ability to express. That brings us to the number ten which is the number of responsibilities. The Father and Jesus had a responsibility, they were willing and joyful to do, due to the Blood Covenant with Abraham to come into the earth redeeming all of mankind, all who would receive the free gift. On the other hand, we, have a responsibility to accept the free gift and take the step of faith into the Kingdom of God. Wow, what a God we serve.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
