I TELL THE TRUTH AND YOU BELIEVE NOT
Wednesday – April 10, 2019, Nisan 5, 5779
Even more Blue Bonnets! I am writing this on the 11th of March and will be in Texas when this is published, I am hoping there will still be a few to see, it can be a very impressive sight. Greetings dear friends and partners and welcome back to this wonderful Bible Study of the Book of John. There is not better news than what is in the Word of God. What each of us do with the Word of God in this very brief sojourn upon the earth determines everything about our eternity. God has a stupendous plan for now and eternity for each of us. What will we do? Will we joyously jump on board trusting our Heavenly Father or work out our own plan egged on by the devil? Selah. Now let’s turn our attention to our Bible Study and start by reading our primary text aloud getting it in our eyes, our mouth, and our ears.
John 8:43-47 (KJV)
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
I wonder when ministers of the gospel started making the decision not to preach like Jesus preached? When and who decided to have a more politically correct gospel and not make people uneasy in their sin? When did we decide not to tell the truth? When did we decide not to say what the Father says, do what we see the Father doing, and believe the Father would bring about the supernatural results? Please know that when we alter the Truth even in the slightest, we are speaking a lie. When we gossip or pass on things, we do not know first hand we may be murdering a person’s reputation even their very livelihood. Because these Jews, religious rulers and leaders of that day allowed and even invited increasing levels of darkness they were not in a position to recognize the Truth.
Remember, hearing the pure Word of God brings the God kind of faith (ours is the same as His) and that some pure Word increases our capacity to hear even more Word. I think you can see that this results in an ever-increasing intake of pure Word not a level or decreasing intake. Are we resting on our laurels (past achievements) or pursuing God with our whole heart? Imagine a wedge or a funnel with a very small opening or tip that then expands larger and larger into eternity. The very small tip of the wedge or opening of the funnel is where we all begin. Where are you, where am I on this wedge or funnel? Have we switched to a different wedge or funnel, one controlled of the devil? When we have been receiving a corrupted Word, believing it, acting upon it, repeating it, thinking upon it, we will not recognize the Truth and reject it like these Jews did with Jesus, the Truth incarnate. These hearers of corrupted word may then seek to silence the speaker just like they did Jesus. However, we are not to fear because when we do it like Jesus did it, we have the same absolute protection that Jesus had in His ministry before the Cross. He came for the express purpose of going to the Cross. We are not here to physically die upon a cross or in any other fashion before we accomplish all the Father has for us to do which includes a very fulfilled and satisfying life filled with good. We are to lay down our lives, our will, and pick up His will. When we have the faith to do that our lives will zoom into a realm that eclipses what we had thought in the natural.
When we tap into the mind of Christ and His wonderful Kingdom plan, we will prosper in every area of life. A supernatural life is what the Lord has planned for us, let us awaken from our slumber and step into it. It will bring a huge smile to the Father’s face, His joy will soar, and our strength to do Kingdom work will enlarge exceedingly. Remember, God confirms His Word so if the word we are speaking is not His He does not confirm it and thus the powerless Church.
Isaiah 44:26 (KJV)
26 That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:
This verse tells us that God would confirm the word of his servant and perform the counsel of his messengers but notice only when they said what He said.
Mark 16:19-20 (TLB)
19 When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down at God’s right hand.
20 And the disciples went everywhere preaching, and the Lord was with them and confirmed what they said by the miracles that followed their messages.
Notice the Lord was with them and He confirmed what they said. They could not just say any old thing, they had to say what He said, they had to do as they saw Him do, and they had to believe that the Father would do the works, just like Jesus. So, what might one conclude when we hear words spoken and no power present? Three options, one is that the people did not believe which is what happened with Jesus at Nazareth, the words spoken were not of God, or were not directed of God for that time.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
