A SAMARITAN WITH A DEVIL
Thursday – April 11, 2019, Nisan 6, 5779

Greetings my dear brothers and sisters in Christ and welcome back to this wonderful and powerful Bible Study of the Book of John. Our God is so wonderful. More blue bonnets from the ranch where I lived in Texas. In the distance to the left are two barns, you can see the edge of a double wide on the property with a carport in the middle and our home to the right. If you are viewing this on Facebook please take a moment and hit the “like” and “share” buttons to expand the reach of this ministry and to participate in the sowing of good seed. Now let us turn our attention to our primary Bible text reading it aloud.
John 8:47-51 (KJV)
47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?
49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.
50 And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.
51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.
Ladies and gentlemen, we do not need timid or politically correct friends, leaders, and Pastors. We need people who will stand for the Truth day in and day out. The Truth not only saves and prolongs our productive lives individually but has a great impact on the Kingdom of God. When we focus on the Kingdom, the Lord is then released to focus on our natural lives, and He wants nothing but overflowing abundance in our lives. He has no interest in our being in messes and suffering financial failures, sickness and disease. His will is for us to walk through and above the storms pulling people along the way out of the storm like Jesus did for the disciples. These things of the curse are defeats in our lives and hinder the Kingdom of God. We are to teach those the Lord gives us to disciple how to conqueror the storms and they in turn bring other people to dry ground as well. Our ministry is to be like His (John 14:12)! He came preaching Isaiah sixty-one and preached and demonstrated that Truth until the Cross. We are to do the same and the greater things. At His ascension to the right hand of the Father the mantle fell (Holy Spirit) and it is our responsibility to pick it up and go forth conquering the curse in the name of Jesus. There is absolutely no part of the curse strong enough to stand before a believer with unwavering faith. Unwavering faith is faith with only one possible outcome, which is for the mountain to go into the sea.
Let us now re-evaluate verse forty-seven and inquire of the Lord as to whether we are in this same unenviable situation as the Jews that day. Jesus told them that they didn’t understand anything He was telling them because they were not of God and therefore incapable of hearing God. They thought they were the cats’ meow, the all-knowing religious leaders of the day but Jesus told them plainly they did not know the Father for if they did, they would know Him, they would recognize the Truth. Instead they have been swallowing lies as the truth and perpetrating these lies upon the people for their own gain. Our Heavenly Father is not against us having great gain in this life, however, He is a jealous God and He wants to do it (Psalm 37:4, Matthew 6:33). At some point these leaders had accepted a lie not exercising due diligence to prove the instructions they were receiving at home or the Synagogue. In the teaching on Monday (April 8th) I spelled out how this happens bringing well meaning, sincere, but not diligent Christians into great darkness. Next the Jews accuse Him of being a Samaritan and having a devil. My, my! My dear saints, this is going on today in the body of Christ. Each of us must examine ourselves and take the following Scriptures very seriously making them our guide every moment of every day.
Philippians 4:8 (KJV)
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
As we finish let’s examine ourselves. Is this how we think?
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
