I WILL PRAY
Tuesday – December 17, 2019, Kislev 19, 5780

Greetings precious saints of God and welcome back to another week of this powerful Bible Study of the Book of John. Again, before we start let’s meditate on and be encouraged by the following Scripture.
1 Peter 2:9 (AMP)
9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
We are a chosen people and are unlike any before us, currently existing, or to come! We are priests and kings before our God and in the family of God. We are a special people, God is calling us special, and has given for us to do wonderful deeds and shine His marvelous light in all places. The featured picture today is of a beautiful cardinal at our bird feeder. It is so much fun watching the birds of many kinds come and go. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to encourage us and expand the reach of this ministry. Now, let’s turn to our primary Bible text and read it aloud.
John 14:15-21 (KJV)
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
I trust that all have noted that the discussion about the Holy Spirit coming is sandwiched between verses telling that obedience to Scripture (His commandments) is love (agape) of God and essential to the manifestation of God (via the Comforter) in our lives. This manifestation comes by way of the Holy Spirit (Comforter) commonly although the Lord may use angels or other peoples or combinations of these (most common).
Once again read verses fifteen and sixteen very carefully. First, we are told that love (agape- love as God loves) of God is manifested by obedience to His commandments. I suspect every Christian would readily confess that they love the Lord. Our Scripture tells us that if we are not keeping His commandments that we in fact do not love (agape) Him. Perhaps we have some other level of love like as a friend but not agape. Agape is what brings the manifestation of the Spirit, the Comforter, into our lives not a friendly feeling towards God. Agape is Blood Covenant love; it is the same love that God has towards us and we are to reciprocate with in like kind. One can break all kinds of God’s commandments and go to Heaven however we go very broken and in defeat and not in wholeness and victory. I don’t know about you; I want to burst through that gate of pearl whole and in victory. We have the power (authority [ours] and power [His]) to walk as Jesus walked and when we are satisfied go on home. Satisfaction comes as a result of doing all that we have been commanded and finishing our assigned course in victory.
Psalm 91:14-16 (KJV)
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Dear saints we are to have a long and satisfying life. In addition, we are to walk in every bit of the salvation that Jesus enjoyed after the Cross and His descent into Hell. Yes, Jesus attained salvation (Psalm 91 tells us as much), He is the first born from the dead, He attained first to the Resurrection.
Colossians 1:16-18 (KJV)
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Christ was the first born from death to life forging the way for us all in our times!
1 Corinthians 15:20-23 (KJV)
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
There is much to say about these Scripture but that would take me far afield but read, study, and rejoice, His victory is our victory. Because He was raised from death (spiritual and physical), because He attained to the Resurrection so can we in Him. Wow, what a deal!
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
