ISRAEL – AND TWO SHALL BE ONE
Wednesday – September 13, 2017

This ministry, Eastern Gate Ministries International, is appointed of God to among other things support Israel in material and spiritual ways. In addition, I am to teach about the importance of Israel to us all. Today I will briefly detail how two peoples became one and the same two peoples became three. In the beginning there was one people with Adam and Eve as the progenitors. Until Abram/Abraham there was basically one group of people with a second group which diminished with time loosely co-mingled who worshiped God. This narrowed down to one person, Noah, and due to the mercy of God he and his family (who are not mentioned as having found favor in the sight of God) are saved in the flood of that time.
It is approximately one thousand years from Adam and the day of sin to Noah and another thousand to Abram/Abraham. In Abram, God found a man with whom He could make a blood covenant and through whom He could bring the child of promise (Isaac and eventually Jesus). This New Blood Covenant would supersede the Old blood Covenant initiated in the Garden on the day of sin and this New Blood Covenant would be consummated, ratified by the promised Messiah. The Messiah, Jesus, came into the world in the lineage of the Jew. Jesus the Messiah of us all came by Adam, Seth, Noah, Shem, Abraham, Judah, David, and finally Joseph (Joseph and Mary). Let me take just a brief aside here. The Spirit (living soul) of Jesus was the same as for eternity past absent what constituted God. The physical body of Jesus was fashioned for Him by the Father, the Word became flesh. The Scripture does not indicate exactly how Jesus’ body came to be, perhaps it was fashioned from the dust of the earth like Adam. Jesus is not a brother or a half-brother of the remainder of the Joseph and Mary family, He was not conceived as a result of sexual activity. Bottom line He came from Heaven having shed all that made Him God and took on human flesh to be the Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world.
When Abraham made Blood Covenant with God the Jews (Hebrews) were born and were a distinct peoples. From that time to the time of Calvary there were two people groups in the earth, the Gentile (uncircumcision) and the Jew (circumcision). When Christ (the Messiah) came Jews could believe upon Him but also the Gentile could believe upon Him and those two were one in what became known as the Church. Up to the time of the Church, Gentiles could convert to Judism however two groups remained. All who believed on Christ constituted the Church whether they be Gentile or Jew thereby forming a third group. Let me be clear, before the Cross there was a pathway to Heaven for those who believed on the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. At the Cross the old was done away with and the new took its place with Jesus being the only way to Heaven. It seems that the vast majority of Jews have rejected Jesus and are therefore condemned with unbelieving Gentiles. Those who believe upon Jesus are the only group redeemed and going to Heaven. It will be well worth your while to meditate the following Scriptures which illuminate much of what I have discussed.
Ephesians 2:11-17 (KJV)
11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
And the two became three.
1 Corinthians 10:32 (KJV)
32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
