MORE ABOUT OUR FATHER ABRAHAM

Greetings my precious and treasured brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, I am so honored that you are friends and partners of this ministry. Thank you. The pictures this week will be of wildlife in various natural and stunning settings. If you are viewing this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “like” and “share” buttons to expand the reach and impact of this ministry. Afterall, your friends are going to give this a higher place because it comes from you and will not be seen as junk mail on receipt. Now let’s turn our attention to our Bible Study of the Book of John by reading our primary text aloud.
John 8:56-59 (KJV)
56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
As I move forward, my focus, our focus is on verse fifty-six and the astounding statement made about Abraham seeing the day of Jesus. At that time Abraham had been dead (natural) two-thousand years, now some four-thousand years. Always remember that our God works through legal mechanisms which He established. Our God is not off doing just anything He wants whenever, and with whomever He decides and neither should we. Within the laws of God is absolute safety, outside, we are on our own for we are in sin and if God violated these same laws He also would be sinning. Oh my, I am guessing several fire extinguishers were emptied right then for many may have shrieked that God cannot sin. Really? Where does it tell us that, how do we know that? My Bible says that all things are possible with God. For God to just change established law with abandon would be the highest order of injustice to the man whom He dearly loves and died for. Our God is an unchanging and just God and we are secure in Him without fear. Please don’t lose sight of the fact that I am delineating the trail of blood from the Garden to the Cross and to the Mercy Seat of Heaven. Next, we come to a further development in the establishment of the Blood Covenant into which we have entered in Christ Jesus. Abram later named by God Abraham comes on the scene some two-thousand years from the Day of Sin and Death in the Garden of Eden.
Genesis 12:1-3 (KJV)
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Hopefully this passage is a very familiar Scripture for us all. It is here that we find in a powerful way that God has a wonderful plan for Abram, and for all families of the earth. As we see here and everywhere in the Bible, first comes obedience or the discharge of responsibility and then comes the benefits. The benefits always far outweigh the obligation or responsibility. God tells Abram that when he gets to Canaan (Genesis 11:31) He will make Abram rich and famous. In addition, anyone who blesses Abram God Himself will bless, however, anyone who curses Abram God Himself will curse them. This is all vital to our knowledge and behavior however the huge promise is the statement “in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” We are among the families of the earth dear ones. Abram (Abraham) is the natural father of the Jews, the Hebrews, and the spiritual father of the Jews and Christians alike. The preceding passage is the beginning of our mandate to bless Israel, the Jews, and Jerusalem. Now let us forward to the following passage on our Trail of Blood, and how Abraham became the father of us all, and how Abraham saw the day of Christ Jesus and rejoiced.
Genesis 14:17-20 (KJV)
17 And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king’s dale.
18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
As we finish for today, in the preceding passage we see the Blessing at work in the defeat of the kings who had taken Lot and many others. We see the prophetic image of Christ Jesus in Melchizedek being both king and priest and also the receiver of the tithe just as Jesus today receives our tithe (Hebrews 7:8). We see the coming commemoration of the Cross with the bread and the wine. We also see the return to the family and our becoming joint heirs with Christ in statements that the Most High God and Abram are simultaneously possessors of Heaven and earth.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
