MORE OF OUR JOY – HIS JOY

Greetings to all who come to these teachings, grace and peace be multiplied unto you by your knowledge of Him. No matter what platform you are reading this on, please take a moment to share with others to expand the reach of this critical and freeing Truth. The featured picture was captured on one of the game camera’s in our backyard. If you look carefully you will see that Donna has had three little baby groundhog “helpers” with her flowers.
Now, to our lessons. The traditional Church is in a place of great bondage and darkness and the Truth is the antidote to make free. I started a discussion yesterday about humanism. Humanism is an outlook or system of thought attaching prime importance to human rather than divine or supernatural matters. Humanist beliefs stress the potential value and goodness of human beings, emphasize common human needs, and seek solely rational ways of solving human problems. We hear things like “we are all human and so we make mistakes”. “Mistakes” is a euphemism or code word for sin. How well is that line of thinking going to go at the Judgment Seat of Christ?
We may have reasons (all of our choices) for sin (human failure) but there are no valid excuses. What do you suppose He is going to say if we arrive in Heaven with our brains beat out (broke and sick) and explain to Him we had a particularly hard lot in life? We are that wicked servant. What excuse is valid for a people who have been given all things, have all authority and tools to possess all things? We have not possessed our “Promised Land” for the same reason as the Israelites of old, unbelief. Unbelief does not please God, is sin, and opens the door for the thief. I will continue to talk about this blasphemous idea of humanism that is prevalent in the Church today and must be obliterated from our thought life. Jesus said we could do what He did, including not sinning, and He gave us a whole Book and the Holy Spirit to show us how. We may have reasons for failure but no valid excuses. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text reading it out loud (Romans 10:17).
John 16:20-22 (KJV)
20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
Jesus is talking to His disciples just hours before the Cross and of course He is talking to us as well. He told them that they would have sorrow for a brief season but then their sorrow would be turn to (their) joy. As we have studied, joy is always associated with victory. The only acceptable and the only expected outcome in each of our lives from Heaven is victory. Anything less is slackness. We have been slack, taught that poverty and illness is okay, we have been comfortable with the kingdom of this world, and are living like beggars when all the while we are children of God and citizens of the Kingdom of God. Oh, how we have missed it (we have sinned big time), but no more dear ones. In our text above Jesus is talking about our joy which had its origins in God and has the same capacity to bear the fruits of joy as God. Consider the following passage regarding joy.
John 15:10-11 (KJV)
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
In the preceding passage Jesus is clearly referring to His joy (“my joy”) and our joy (“your joy”). How can we conceptualize this? First let me ask a question. What are the differences between the joy the Father has, Jesus had/has, the joy of the Holy Spirit and ours? None! Is theirs far more developed? Yes! Can we develop our joy? Yes! The fruit of joy is strength. No joy, no strength. By the way, like the expression of everything else spiritual, joy is our choice. Will we choose to develop our joy or not? Now, back to how we can conceptualize His joy remaining in them, in us. Did Jesus unhook His joy and transfer it to them and us? Of course not. When we are born again the Holy Spirit comes, quickens our dead spirit man, and lives within. The Holy Spirit possesses joy and He is within us. The more we choose to be led of the Holy Spirit the fuller our joy the stronger, the more victorious we become. Lord willing, I will pick up here tomorrow.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
