SALVATION NOT CONDEMNATION
Wednesday – October 24, 2018, Cheshvan 15, 5779

Greetings and welcome back to this powerful faith building (if we choose) Bible Study from the Book of John. Faith always comes in response to the Word of God but will we receive it or continue in unbelief? Will we really hear with spiritual ears or just physical with no intent to apply the Words heard to our daily life putting those Words ahead of all other words. The featured picture is of Adam and Eve on the Texas ranch. Now let’s turn our attention back to the Book of John reading our primary Bible text aloud.
John 3:17-19 (KJV)
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
As we start with verse seventeen we find some very important information. God is not the condemner but we ourselves. The devil has worked this into the nomenclature and it is common to hear “God damn you” and any variety of other things. I remember I had a patient once who commonly referred to various parts of his body saying for example “this damned old head”. I used to think, man you have no idea what you are doing, damning various organs or organ systems. This man otherwise was a very nice old man, very enjoyable to visit with, but he was speaking death and destruction to his own body. That is what a forward mouth or perverse tongue is in Scripture. The Son of God, the Word made flesh, came and dwelt among us. He was and is the Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world. He obliterated, expunged all sin. Now, the only sin that sends one to Hell is the sin of rejecting the Savior. Thank you so much Jesus, thank you so much Father, and thank you Eternal Spirit!
Before we move on let’s take a look at the word “saved” at the end of the seventeenth verse. This word saved is the Greek word transliterated as sōzō according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. This word means to be safe, delivered, to make whole, preserve safe from danger, loss, or destruction according to The Complete Word Study Dictionary – New Testament. I am quite sure that all reading this say “wow” all the while recognizing that you are not seeing that in your own life. One can be saved, that is headed to Heaven, but not be participating in the whole salvation package. Think of it like a company you might work for and by your own slackness, negligence, of not discharging all of your responsibilities miss out on the many wonderful benefits. It is the same in the Kingdom of God. It is all ours, the price has been paid, the table is set. Will we simply look at it from afar or will we step up to the table and confidently in faith take our seat and partake of the table?
Now, let’s move into verse eighteen, eighteen is the number of bondage spiritual and physical. From the day of our conception we are in bondage to the devils stealing, killing, and destroying if we don’t have parents that understand they have authority to subdue the curse and loose the blessing into their children’s lives. At the age of understanding (age 12) we are to exercise that authority in our lives upon accepting Jesus as Lord and savior. This is one reason that children should receive full instruction, not a dumbed down version, in the ways of the Kingdom. That is to say the full exercise of responsibilities and the reaping of benefits by faith in love led of Holy Spirit. Jesus is very clear, if we do not believe upon Him we are condemned already but if we will believe in that name (Jesus) we are instantly translated into the Kingdom of Light. There is no other name whereby we may be saved.
Acts 4:10-12 (KJV)
10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
If we do not confess Jesus as our Lord we remain condemned. The other thing that is vital for us to recall is that no man will ever come before the Father at the White Throne Judgment with a valid excuse for not receiving salvation. Scripture says that all are without excuse.
Romans 1:20 (KJV)
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
