SPEAKING BOLDLY

Greetings and welcome back to this powerful Bible Study taken from the Book of John. Those of you on Facebook please hit the “share” button and give me a “thumbs up” and of course actually read the teaching and give it serious thought. God is so good to us. I know you hear me say that a lot but it is Truth and when you examine the work done for us by Jesus, by the Father, by Holy Spirit it boggles the mind, they did not need a Savior and could have just started over. God could have created a creature without freewill however He is love, He wanted to love, He wanted children. God has freewill and He exercised it in our creation also giving us freewill. When we have children, they are all that the parents are and the same with God, we are the children of God and received all that He is. We did not receive the attributes that make them God (large G) but we are gods (small g). Unfortunately, Adam exercised that freewill wrongly but God was not caught unawares, there was a plan already in place. It was never the will of God for Lucifer to sin nor for man to sin. Sin and the subsequent curse were not the plan or will of God so He could then show us how great and loving He was. Even the angels, created purely spiritual beings, have freewill and this is illustrated in the sin of Lucifer and one-third of the Heavenly hosts choosing to follow him in the rebellion. Freewill is the capacity to choose between two or more things. There is no such thing as love without freewill, without another choice. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and continue this Bible Study of the Book of John.
John 7:23-27 (KJV)
23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?
24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
25 Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?
26 But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?
27 Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.
As we read our text it seems that some of the bystanders are amazed at the audacity of Jesus perhaps wondering why He didn’t get out of town (Verse 25). They continue speaking about how He speaks boldly. Of course, many if not all of us might have been intimidated to be quiet and quietly slip away. We might think that we won’t have a place in the Church in our calling whether that be the children’s ministry, music department, teaching, or pastoring. We are told to toe the line for others will exercise their authority and quiet the Truth and you in the process. This was not a concern to Jesus and neither should it be for us. I have experience with this first hand, it is not fun, but one has to obey the Voice of God. Always remember and have confidence, faith in the following Scripture. This is the Word of God.
Proverbs 18:16 (KJV)
16 A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
God has given each of us a gift or gifts and the Anointing (Holy Spirit) associated with those gifts will make a place for us wherever the Lord might send us. The people are amazed that the rulers who want to kill Jesus are doing nothing as He speaks and ministers. The people then ask a very intriguing question. In effect they ask if the rulers (the religious class, rulers) know that this man is the Christ, the Messiah. Do they know He is the Christ and want to kill Him for that reason? Alternatively, are they blind to the fact that He is the Christ and want to kill Him for they see Him at best as a rogue preacher and it worst as one who will usurp their positions? It seems that they know exactly who He is as we will study when we pick this up next week. The Glory of God left the Temple hundreds of years ago (see Ezekiel) and they don’t even know it. Have you ever been in a Church and the people did not know that the manifestation, the glory, of the Holy Spirit was departed and what they had was a form of religion devoid of Power? These men were envious of Him, they were offended. These men knew the Scripture yet here stood a man they knew who appeared to be an ordinary man and He was yet was doing miracles not seen before and the people were thronging to Him.
Mark 15:9-14 (KJV)
9 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy. (Bold added by Dr. Wood)
11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.
12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?
13 And they cried out again, Crucify him.
14 Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.
Have we stood and cried “crucify him” when we didn’t understand one who stood among us and of whom we became envious?
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
