Tuesday – February 2, 2016
As we prepare to partake of the Tuesday portion of God’s Word let us all remember to pray for the governments of these United States. Today I am highlighting North Dakota and you will see pictured the Capitol building located in the Capitol of Bismarck, a map locating North Dakota within the United States, and the flag of North Dakota all from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. North Dakota was the 39th State admitted to the Union on November 2, 1889 during the Presidency of Benjamin Harrison our 23rd President. Let us take a moment to look at the:
Preamble to the Constitution for the State of North Dakota
“We, the people of North Dakota, grateful to Almighty God for the blessings of civil and religious liberty, do ordain and establish this constitution.”
And people with no regard to the facts have the audacity to say this is not a Christian nation, that this is not a nation in Covenant with Almighty God, the God a Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the only living God, the One whom there is none above.
CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY – VOTING
Carrying out our civic responsibilities as well as all other responsibilities is very much a part of Spiritual Warfare. I strongly encourage each of us to vote thereby participating in the selection of those who will govern us. It is our responsibility as Christians and as citizens of the United States to be informed on the issues, the candidates, and to vote. Remember we are the light of the world and in abeyance of our Heavenly Father we must be sure the light is not only on but clearly visible.

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
The United States of America was established in Covenant with Almighty God, we were established on a firm foundation. The Church has allowed decay in its ranks and doctrine so that the Word of God is no longer the predominating influence in this country. The people of the light have retreated and hide so there is gross darkness in the world and even in the Church house. I think all can see what seems to be an inexplicable decline in America until you look at the Church House. When America (primarily the Church) does not honor God, God will not honor America and that is where we are today. The only reason that we are not in utter ruin, which is at the door, is the righteous remnant which are not in the organized Church and the righteous men and women who honored God and have gone before us and now God is honoring them.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
In America we have the privilege and the responsibility to pray for our nation, her leadership, and to vote participating in the selection of the leaders. Let’s listen to the words of James A. Garfield (1831-1881), US President, and Minister of the Gospel (From Wallbuilders).
“Now more than ever the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless, and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness, and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave, and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature….If the next centennial does not find us a great nation…it will be cause those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces.”
Could this have been written in 2016? You bet! It is beyond question for the clear eyed that those we have chosen to rule us are ignorant, reckless, and corrupt. Ignorant, reckless, and corrupt people vote for ignorant, reckless, and corrupt people as rulers including those who say they are Christian. Only about one half of those who say they are born again vote and only about half of those vote for a man or woman of righteousness. Oh my how we have fallen!
