THE FATHER WILL GIVE IT TO YOU
Greetings dear and precious saints of the only living God. Welcome back to this powerful Bible Study of the Book of John. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible to expand the reach of this Ministry. God is so good dear ones. I am quite sure that all persons reading this recognize that we live in very troubled times both in and without the United States. We hear peoples including Christians indicating that these times are worse than let’s say a thousand years ago. Is that true? A very brief review of history would tell you that although these times are troubled there have been worse times. Are we, the Church simply victims, pawns, carried too and fro at the whim of the devils, the world? Who has authority in the earth both over the spiritual and the physical? Let me repeat something I have not said in a while. All physical manifestations start in the spiritual realm be they good or bad. All peoples are freewill being, be they saved or unsaved. Each one of us shape our present and our future by our thoughts, words, and ways. Before I move into our text from the Book of John let us pursue this just a bit further.
Proverbs 23:7 (KJV)
7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
The way we think, what we think about, is what we are. See what Jesus said about the effects of our thought (heart) life on our lives.
Luke 6:45 (KJV)
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Since we have full, far above authority, and the Blessing (fulness of the Holy Spirit) to back it up, all restored by Christ Jesus why are we playing second fiddle to the devil and his bunch? We are just like the children of Israel of old, we are as grasshoppers in our own sight and in their sight.
Numbers 13:33 (KJV)
33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
They could not enter the “Promised Land” due to unbelief and neither has the vast majority of the Church for the same reason. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, yes, out loud.
John 16:23-25 (KJV)
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.
We are now dear ones in the day that Jesus is talking about in the preceding passage. Jesus tells us to tell the Father what we want, present ourselves in His name (we are called by His name) and He (the Father) will give it. The word ‘ask’ in this text means to speak, utter, desire, say, call for, or tell according to Strong’s Talking Greek Hebrew Dictionary. I am sure you realize it is not as simple as this one verse would suggest. This is an example where the full counsel of Scripture is necessary. In this case the next few verses will add great clarity. As I end for today let’s very briefly review the following, I hope, very familiar Scriptures.
Mark 11:23-24 (KJV)
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
As I have pointed out before, say (decreeing), believe (unwavering faith), desire (placed in our heart by God), and pray (talk with God) are all the same thing according to Jesus. Oh, what a good and wonderful God we serve.
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
