AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this wonderful and empowering study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. If you are not yet a saint (a Bible term for anyone born again, saved) become one right now. Declare out loud Jesus is my Lord and I believe God raised Him from the dead. By the words of my mouth and faith in my heart I am saved, amen.
Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Welcome to the Kingdom of God, welcome to the Light. The first quarter of 2022 will soon be in the history books of earth and Heaven. Don’t pass by that statement to quickly. As we examine ourselves can we confidently declare we have moved forward and moved the Kingdom of God forward or are we treading water? As I prepare to move forward, please take a moment and share these teachings as widely as possible to expand our reach with the Truth, the Word of God. Thank you for sharing. The featured picture today is of the Capital Building for the United States. This building houses the House of Representatives and the Senate. This is referred to as bi-cameral. Notice that our government (United States (Federal and States) has three branches of government (Executive, Congressional, Judicial). This is modeled after Heaven.
Isaiah 33:22 (KJV)
22 For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.
This week I will be featuring Federal government buildings as a reminder to pray for our government (not to curse them but bless them driving out the curse) as commanded. Praying for those in authority is not optional, it is a command. After all, we are responsible for putting them in authority.
1 Timothy 2:1-3 (KJV)
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Now, let’s turn our attention to our Isaiah text continuing to read out loud. Yes, out loud, and you know why.
Isaiah 11:1-3 (KJV)
1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
As we have been discussing this passage is Messianic in nature, Prophecy spoken by the mouth of Isaiah as given of God. As a little rabbit trail, I am always fascinated to recall that every Word in the Scripture came by way of the Second Person of the co-equal Triune God, the one we call Jesus. In the beginning (eternity past) Jesus was the Word. Many think that only the Words in red are what Jesus has said, not even close to true. Okay now back on the main road.
As we enter verse two of our text, we find that the “spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him”, the “him” is the “rod”, the “Branch” referred to in verse one. I will now launch into a very interesting area of discussion. I want you to notice that there are seven facets of the Holy Spirit or seven Spirits here in the second verse. We also see this in the Book of Revelation.
Revelation 1:4 (KJV)
4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
From Isaiah 11:2, the seven Spirits are these: The Spirit of the Lord, the Spirit of Wisdom, the Spirit of Understanding, the Spirit Counsel, the Spirit of Might, the Spirit of Knowledge, and the Spirit of the fear of the Lord.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you and there is nothing you can do about it.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, doubt it not, and speak over yourself and your family in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
