DO I OPEN THE WOMB AND NOT DELIVER

Greetings dear saints of God and welcome back to this engaging and empowering study of the Bible Book of Isaiah. The Lord is so good to give an immense treasury of His thoughts, His commandments for a truly abundant victorious life now and over the top eternity. I have presented all 50 State government buildings so today the featured picture is of the Capitol Building for the United States of America reminding us to pray for all in our government, and all others in authority. This is not optional. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text presented today from the Message Bible. Please continue reading out loud.
Isaiah 66:8-11 (MSG)
8 Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? Has anyone seen anything like this? A country born in a day? A nation born in a flash? But Zion was barely in labor when she had her babies!
9 Do I open the womb and not deliver the baby? Do I, the One who delivers babies, shut the womb?
10 “Rejoice, Jerusalem, and all who love her, celebrate! And all you who have shed tears over her, join in the happy singing.
11 You newborns can satisfy yourselves at her nurturing breasts. Yes, delight yourselves and drink your fill at her ample bosom.”
Is the Lord talking about babies, children here? Well, yes and no. This would include His role in the coming forth of natural babies but it is much more. Let us remember what we have just been discussing. We have been discussing the birth of a country and the birth of a nation. By the way, the word “nation” in the text is referring to the Gentiles. With the coming of Christ and His work all peoples, Jew and Gentile alike, have equal access to God. The first citizens of the newly birthed Kingdom of God were those whom Jesus, the risen Savior breathed on the very day of His resurrection.
John 20:21-22 (NKJV)
21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
Back to our primary Bible text. It seems to me that God is speaking through His Prophet of a future time in the eternal history of Israel.
Isaiah 66:12-16 (MSG)
12 GOD’s Message: “I’ll pour robust well-being into her like a river, the glory of nations like a river in flood. You’ll nurse at her breasts, nestle in her bosom, and be bounced on her knees.
13 As a mother comforts her child, so I’ll comfort you. You will be comforted in Jerusalem.”
14 You’ll see all this and burst with joy —you’ll feel ten feet tall— As it becomes apparent that GOD is on your side and against his enemies.
15 For GOD arrives like wildfire and his chariots like a tornado, A furious outburst of anger, a rebuke fierce and fiery.
16 For it’s by fire that GOD brings judgment, a death sentence on the human race. Many, oh so many, are under GOD’s sentence of death:
The final assault ever on Jerusalem comes during the Great Tribulation, the last three and one-half years of the seven-year Tribulation. Consider the following verse and then review the 19th chapter of Revelation and the great battle of Armageddon. As you read Revelation 19 you will quickly see it was not much of a battle when the King of Kings comes on the scene at His Second Coming.
Zechariah 14:2 (KJV)
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
The battle of Armageddon will usher in a thousand-year period of by far unrivalled peace and prosperity for Jerusalem, the natural Jewish people and all natural persons who worship the Lord around the earth. All in Christ Jesus will be like unto Jesus with immortal glorified bodies ruling and reigning with Him over the earth.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
