THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH
Friday – December 13, 2019, Kislev 15, 5780

Greetings dear friend and partners of this powerful ministry of God through us. The year is nearly spent. I must ask myself how did I spend this year? Was it profitable for me, for my family, and for the Kingdom of God or were losses suffered? Did other people perhaps in our own families suffer due to our disobedience or even go to Hell? I don’t know about you but there have been times over the last two years when I thought briefly that the enemy had me by the throat and I was going down for the count. What about you? However, every time without fail our Lord showed me the way of victory and brought me out with a mighty Hand. He always gave me exactly what was needed to take the victory, to come up, and to come ahead. I am sure ALL of you have a victory or a defeat story. Rejoice and give all glory and thanksgiving to God in victory. In defeat, repent, get on your feet, and with the help of God forge forward into the victory Jesus bought at Calvary. Our God is so good dear saints!

Also, I want you all to know that Donna (my beautiful wife) is putting together a wonderful Women’s Conference with the theme of The Virtuous Woman (Proverbs 31:10) coming in the spring of 2020. More information to follow.
The pictures this week have been of various scenes along the coast of Maine. Today’s picture of Donna and me was taken recently at Celebration Church (Solid Rock Church of God in Pittsfield Maine). Now let’s turn our attention to our Bible Study of the Book of John and read our primary Bible text aloud.
John 14:15-21 (KJV)
15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Jesus is in the final hours of His earthly ministry and will very shortly be on the Cross being made sin in our place. This is what many refer to as the great exchange, our sin for His righteousness. What a deal for us! Jesus gives them and us the key to success in the Kingdom of God and that is to keep the commandments which is to do as we are told in the Bible and by the still small voice of the Holy Spirt. This obedience is the very definition of love (agape). As I have expressed many time the core of love (agape) the God level of love is obedience to the Scripture, adherence to Blood Covenant, and a lifestyle of selflessness. As we review our primary Bible text, we see that Jesus tells us that the Comforter is also known as the Spirit of Truth. Recall that the Truth is the Word, Jesus (who is the Word) is the Truth, the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, and love is Truth. Wow, see how it all intertwines. The Holy Spirit always points us to the Scripture, and to the Word which is Jesus.
John 15:26 (KJV)
26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
As we examine the seventeenth verse from our primary text, we find that the Spirit of Truth, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit has been with them right along and they understood that, knew that. Jesus goes on to say that not only will He be with you but now He will be within you. This is critical to quicken or make alive our spirit man imparting eternal life and the capacity of every believer to talk to God for themselves. As we close out for today and this week’s study of the Book of John let’s diligently meditate on the following Scriptures.
Romans 8:8-9 (KJV)
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
We must have and be in or led of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth (all the same person of God) in order to please God. As we do that in obedience we are in faith. And, as we know we do all things in love (agape) which is the power of faith. This is really quite simple, let us lay aside the flesh which is simple but not easy and follow after the Spirit in strict obedience to the Word of God. If we do not have the Holy Spirit, we are not God’s.
2 Corinthians 1:20-22 (KJV)
20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
