MINISTRY ANOINTING – MINISTRY ASSIGNMENTS
Video link: https://youtu.be/JUya5n40Zss
Greeting dear and precious saints of God, the Lord is so very good. The featured picture is of me ministering at a ministry assignment last year. Over the last several weeks, the Lord has been dealing with me about explaining to the followers and partners of this Ministry the Scriptures listed at the beginning of each written blog. This will be a multipart teaching – discussion with today being part two.
These are Scriptures that define my Ministry Anointing and Assignments and those of Awake, Arise, and Triumph Ministries as well. Last Sunday I discussed the Isaiah chapter 50 passage and this week I will deal with another Isaiah passage. This is not a teaching of this text per se but this text as it relates to this Ministry. I will intersperse comments as we make our way down through the text.
Over the years it has seemed to me that many if not all of the ministries I have observed were incomplete. By that I mean that they were either evangelistic, healing, prophetic, or ministering to the physical needs with limited ministry to the spiritual needs of the people. I am sure you can identify with this observation. In view of the revelation given the Apostle Paul likening each individuals function as a human body we would not expect to find it all in one person but what about one Ministry or Fellowship (local Church)? Now, let’s dive into what I believe is to be a vital function of this Ministry just as the first verse and half were a vital part of Jesus’ Ministry. Now, let’s look at this passage as it relates to this Ministry with comments interspersed.
Isaiah 61:1-4 (KJV)
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Comment: It is important to know, to understand that this verse is not just addressing His and our mission to the world but equally importantly to the Church, body of Christ. There is a real lack of good news in the Church, many have broken hearts not just grief but faulty thoughts, many are captive to evil thoughts (thoughts/beliefs) contrary to Scripture and are bound by a variety of habits. This Ministry focuses on the Church, for until we walk in the Truth we will remain powerless and unable to stop and reverse the current freefall of our nation.
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
Comment: We preach salvation and we preach that it is past time for us, individuals in the Church and the Church to occupy what Jesus took back at Calvary and the Resurrection.
3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
Comment: We teach that praise is a key to a key to overcoming fear and becoming established as oaks of righteousness, unyielding in doing all His way. We must be easily identifiable as belonging to the Kingdom of God and not the kingdom of darkness. We need to be a bright light to which people are attracted, a better way of living.
4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
As this relates to this Ministry, we come alongside Ministers to show the way of Truth. The way of Truth not of the traditions of men and doctrines of demons. The reason that the Church is not transforming the world (the old wastes, the former desolations, waste cities, the desolations of our generations) is the Church is rife with powerless teaching (traditions of men and doctrines of demons).
You will remember that the first part of this was read by Jesus at the very start of His Ministry (Luke 4:17-21) declaring a part of the function of the Kingdom of God. He did not have authority to go beyond that but since the Cross all authority belongs to Him and those in Him. Jesus purpose was to establish the Kingdom of God (Heaven) in the earth with the coming of salvation for all who will and the creation of the Church. We are to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (His way of doing). That is to follow our individual Anointings and assignments in the Kingdom doing it His way. Our thought life is to be predominately about our role in the Kingdom and secondarily the things of this natural life.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here with our study of MINISTRY ANOINTING – MINISTRY ASSIGNMENTS, next Sunday. The Lord is good, He is not the source of our problems, and He cannot lie!
