THOU BLASPHEMEST
Monday – June 24, 2019, Sivan 21, 5779

Greetings my precious brothers and sisters in Christ, and we extend the warmest greetings as well to those who have not decided to make Jesus Lord. All are welcome to this empowering Bible Study of the Book of John. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment and hit the “like” and “share” buttons to let me know you are on board. Sharing also extends the reach of this very important Ministry and Anointed study. The featured pictures this week are of various Churches literally from around the world. These structures and others are where the real Church gathers to develop their battle plans. Now let’s turn to our study by first reading our primary Bible text aloud.
John 10:34-38 (KJV)
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
As you know I spent a considerable amount of time last week discussing the topic that we are gods (little g not and never will be big G). This is a controversial topic when it ought not to be. So long as we reject this reality we can never walk as Jesus walked. We will never do the things that we are commanded to do in this world on behalf of the Kingdom of God. We must pursue after knowing just who we are, just who our Father is, and exactly who our enemies are and how they work. One very critical weapon the enemy has been using since the Garden of Eden is to confuse the Word of God. If he can get us to institute traditions that are not of the Bible or corrupt the Word, he is filled with glee for it makes us absolutely impotent and fodder for our spiritual enemies.
As we move into verse thirty-six of our primary text, we find Jesus challenging the gathered Jews. If you have been following this teaching and are a student of Scripture you know the Jews are not going to be thrilled with all this. Jesus is in their faces once again that He is indeed the Son of God, the long-awaited Messiah. A wonderful thing about our God is that He doesn’t offer us mercy just once and stomp away in disgust but will come time and time again in His great mercy and love. I know that before I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I was given dozens of opportunities, perhaps even hundreds. Of course, the Holy Spirit is always wooing us to Himself, to the Father, to the Son. I am talking about opportunities when I was aware of my need for salvation, and by the exercise of my freewill, consciously rejected the love the extended Hand of God.
Like I rejected the wooing of the Lord for way too many years so we will see that the Jews will also once again soundly reject His arguments. Jesus’ arguments are straight out of Scripture they have been taught from their youth, and He makes that clear to them. Jesus tells them He has been sent into the world by the Father. His (Jesus’) spiritual origins were not of this earth and by the way neither are ours. His physical origins like Adam and like us was (is) of the earth. This duality of origin is a fundamental aspect of the authority of Jesus in Heaven and in earth and the absolute authority Jesus delegated to us for us to exercise in Heaven and in earth. Before salvation our citizenship was of Hell and we were in the earth as the devil’s ambassadors. After salvation our citizenship is in Heaven and we are in the earth as God’s ambassadors.
Jesus tells them that the Father made Him holy and blameless (sanctified) upon sending Him into the earth. At salvation we are also holy and blameless before the Father. Jesus in effect asks them, since we are all gods, and therefore sons of God made in His image and likeness, why do you call me a blasphemer when I say I am the Son of God? Jesus is “The” Son of God; however, we are all a son of God or sons of God. Some teach that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God however we are all begotten or given birth by God. Jesus is the only Son of God in that His origin was as fully God, we are of God but never had nor will never have the distinctive attributes of God. Jesus was the Son of promise with a unique purpose that only He could fulfill. Lord willing, I will pick up here tomorrow.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
