TRADITIONS, LIES, and TRUTH – PART FORTY-SIX
A MOST IMPORTANT MESSAGE
Saturday – November 30, 2019, Kislev 2, 5780
Greetings dear and precious brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus and welcome back to this wonderful Bible Study which seeks to divide light and darkness. Those who have not yet named Jesus as Lord, as the Son of God, as the One raised from the dead by the Father, are greeted and welcomed as well. Many traditions of men, of religion, have infiltrated the Church. These traditions have no Scriptural foundation and are devoid of power. Some of those traditions may have started with a good Scriptural foundation and with the leadership of the Holy Spirit but have been perverted along the way. Although it is not my topic for today, where is the Bible model for a sick person at the front of the Church with several people gathered around them praying for several minutes? Where is the Bible model for one or more people spending several minutes to hours casting devils out of a single person? What about the tradition of alter calls or inviting people to the alter during the service? Have you ever noticed it is the same people Sunday after Sunday, alter call after alter call? Where is the victory, where is the repentance?
I do not believe there is a more pertinent or urgent message for the body of Christ then the one contained in these teachings titled “Traditions, Lies, and Truth”. Over the centuries since the formation of the Church there has been a corrupting of the gospel. With that corruption came ever increasing divisions among those who call themselves Christians or followers of Jesus, the Christ. Those divisions have become more important than Jesus Christ. A Christian is one who follows Christ or is an anointed one, an imitator of Jesus, of God. I recently overheard a conversation in which a person was saying they were baptized a Lutheran, raised a Methodist, and became a Baptist. At no point was there an identification with Jesus, with Christ, the identification was with the denomination. How did this happen? Deception and rebellion, another gospel was allowed, even pursued, a denomination became another god.
If we are not on the wonderful path of abundance, health, and wholeness in every area of life that Jesus has already provided for us, it is by choice. Another gospel, a perverted message, will result in our maintaining or making worse the poverty in our money, our health, and every other area of life. Our journey with God started in His perfect will and with us on His perfect path at salvation. How did we get off that path? Did we try to add our new knowledge of the Kingdom of God system to our knowledge of the world system only to find nothing really working in our lives? Have we not diligently pursued our knowledge of God or rebelled against portions of the Word? Just as oil and water do not mix, neither do the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness. A choice(s) to follow other god(s) took us off the path of the wonderful will of God. Another choice will put us back on that path. First, we must identify the other gospel in our thinking, repent, and then remove it by the renewing or our mind to the Truth. We must receive the Truth, believe (have unwavering faith) the Truth, and then walk in obedience to that Truth.
I will now share a revelation that God gave me as I was meditating on this teaching. This will be useful to us all especially those functioning in the fivefold ministry offices. The health of a Church as a whole and individual Christians has everything to do with what they are being feed spiritually. Then God started talking to me about sheep saying; the quantity and quality of the wool a sheep produces is directly attributable to the quality of the feed given. In terms of physical food there is a digestible portion and an indigestible portion. The indigestible portion is eliminated as waste. Words are spirit food and they can be words of death or words of life. The purer the Word of God we receive, the less we receive of another gospel, the less waste we will have to deal with. The spiritual waste (another gospel) will remain in our mind, our ideas, and if not dealt with and will take our life in an undesirable direction by becoming a part of our meditations and speech. The spirit man cannot digest another gospel therefore he becomes weak. Our speech will be corrupt and we will have corrupt fruit.
Matthew 12:33-37 (KJV)
33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
When our ideas, then our words, are corrupted by another gospel they will not produce the will of God in our lives. People pray altogether wrong for healing for example and when they are not healed, they develop another false gospel to explain the lack of healing. It goes something like this, “you know God is working all things together for His good”, or “we just don’t understand the ways of God”, or perhaps “He is giving us grace and my suffering brings glory to God”. All of that is false, period. I encourage us all to identify all elements of another gospel and expel it immediately.
