UNABLE TO HEAR
Monday – April 8, 2019, Nisan 3, 5779
Greetings wonderful and precious saints of the Most High God. Thank you for rejoining this powerful Bible Study of the Book of John. We are so privileged to have the Word of God to displace darkness and give us the path of success in all things. Now, let’s prepare to dive into our Bible Study starting by reading the primary text aloud to get the Word of God in our eyes, our mouth, and our ears.
John 8:43-47 (KJV)
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
Let us all purpose in our hearts to never be on the religious side of these discussions but on the Jesus side. The way we all do that is to press in as close to Him as we can proving every word that we read, see, or hear, and to be relentless proving our thoughts and words by the Word of God. On purpose, let us ask the Holy Spirit to teach us all things guiding us into all the Truth. Any and all sacred cows must be identified in all of our lives, our thinking, and eliminated without mercy or regret. These sacred cows are literally stealing, killing, and destroying our lives. They bring to naught all that we would purpose to do for our Lord. Let us purpose to never find ourselves in the position of verse forty-three above! Jesus asks and answers this most poignant question.
John 8:43 (AMP)
43 Why do you misunderstand what I say? It is because you are unable to hear what I am saying. [You cannot bear to listen to My message; your ears are shut to My teaching.]
Of course, they can hear the Words of Jesus but their theology is so corrupted, so polluted with the traditions of men and the constant chatter of demons it is unrecognizable. There is not a Berean among them.
Acts 17:10-11 (KJV)
10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
I don’t know about you but I sometimes tend to assume that people know what I am talking about, but the truth is that many times they don’t have a clue, they are just polite. How does this happen? Like the people Jesus is speaking too, we assume they are believers? They may be believers but have chosen to remain carnal. We see them in Church and going through the motions but they do not understand because they are not hearing. They do not hear because they have been consuming darkness thinking it was light and pretty soon, they had no real light. As we finish for today let’s consider the following familiar verses.
Matthew 6:23 (KJV)
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
We must be careful not to receive any word without proving it. It could in fact be darkness, evil. The more evil we receive the more we will want and an evil eye will develop. Our filter will be evil and we will let more and more darkness in straining out the light. Precious brother and sister let us double down to exceedingly careful of the Word of the Lord. For a moment let us consider what I hope is a very familiar verse.
Romans 10:17 (KJV)
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Let me paraphrase this verse in a way that may bring added clarity. The God kind of faith comes by hearing and that hearing is increasingly enhanced by the pure Word of God. The God kind of faith which is part of our spiritual DNA is mountain moving faith far and above what can be done with natural faith.
Matthew 17:20 (KJV)
20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Luke 1:37 (KJV)
37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
With the God kind of faith, how many things are impossible to us? None! If we have faith in a corrupted gospel steeped in the traditions of men and the doctrines of demons how many things are impossible to us. All!

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
