WHY DOES MY FATHER LOVE ME?
Wednesday – June 5, 2019, Sivan 2, 5779

Greetings my precious partners and friends of this Ministry and The Three Minute Word publication. God is so good. I don’t care what is going on in any of our lives right this minute, never forget that God is good and God is never the source of bad things in our lives. If you are reading this on Facebook please, please, take a moment and “share” this teaching and hit the “like” button. come on, you can do it. The featured pictures this week will be from the deer feeder I had in Texas. Now, let us turn our attention to our Bible Study of the Book of John. First let us read the primary text aloud and determine in our hearts to have ears to hear and the will to do.
John 10:14-19 (KJV)
14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
19 There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.
When I left off yesterday, we were dealing with the seventeenth verse of our text and getting ready to explore the love of the Father, why the Father loved Jesus. First let’s start with a little refresher on the word “love”. The love being referenced here is the God kind of love, the highest love, the word and idea transliterated to English from the Greek as agape. Agape (Godly love) is selfless, obedient to Scripture, and abides by Blood Covenant. Jesus is the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world. Like Isaac some two thousand years earlier Jesus is willingly submitting to the will of God by faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit. Jesus and the Holy Spirit made a Covenant with the Father the same day that Abraham entered Covenant for the Seed (Jesus), and the son of promise (Isaac) and the whole Jewish peoples. It was important for the Holy Spirit to be involved in the Covenant since it is He who empowered Jesus, just as He does us, in His (and our) earthly ministry.
Don’t miss this, because Jesus was obedient to the Word of God, the Father was then obligated to be obedient to the Word of God. The Son’s obedience to the Word was to come into the earth, become a man, submit Himself to the Cross bearing our sins in His body, defeat death and Hell, and be raised to life again by the Words already spoken in faith. Jesus spoke the Words, the Father applied the Power by the Holy Spirit to not only raise Jesus from the dead (physical and spiritual) but restore Him as God, and give Him a glorious uncorrupted body. The good news is that just as Jesus was the first fruit of salvation, we share in that same salvation. Whatever the Father did for Jesus He must do for us since we are in Christ Jesus and are partakers of the same Blood Covenant. That is how we attain to full restitution of all things, and soon a new body like our Saviors.
In verse eighteen Jesus continues to talk about having the power to lay His life down and the power to pick it up again. The word “power” appears twice in this verse and is authority not miracle working power. The one who has the authority does not always have the power or force to cause it to happen against resistance. For example, a police officer may put up his hand for you to stop but by himself does not have the power, or force, to make you stop. However, one call and forces will be marshaled that are more than enough to cause one to stop. The commandment to lay down His life and pick it up again (with words) came from the Father. His, Jesus’, obedience to that command enjoined or required the Father to apply the force necessary to accomplish all. A special level of power was utilized to restore Jesus to the throne and that same power (Holy Spirit) is at work in us. Let’s take a moment to review the following familiar Scripture from the Book of Ephesians.
Ephesians 1:19-23 (KJV)
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
We clearly see in verse nineteen (faith) that the same power that the Father used to raise Jesus and completely restore Him is at work in us also. Once we accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, we have access to all of Heaven, all that the Father did for Jesus He will joyfully do for us. Just as Jesus is far above every principality, power, might, and dominion so are we. We are in Him, He is the Head, we are the body (incudes the feet). Not only that but we are far above every name that is named not only in this world but in that which is to come. This would include every part of the curse.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
