AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH
Tuesday – February 2, 2021, Sh’vat 20, 5781
I ASCEND TO MY FATHER AND YOUR FATHER
Greetings dear and precious saints of the only Living God. Welcome back to this electrifying study of the Bible Book of John. God is so wonderful to give us His Word, we don’t have to wonder about anything. As we prepare to dive into our study, take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible. Share the Truth. Thank you for doing that dear faithful ones. As you will recall, our Savior, the Savior of all who will receive Him, died for the whole lost world. He has come and surrendered to the Cross destroying the works of the Devil. His sacrifice was acceptable payment for the sins of Adam, of the world, for He was sinless, totally innocent and Justice could not leave Him in the grave. He was raised to life with full restoration by the Blood of the Lamb (His own Blood), and the Words of His testimony (Revelation 12:11), the same way we were saved, He was saved. He was the first born from the dead.
Colossians 1:18 (KJV)
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
He tasted death and Hell so we don’t have too. Thank you, Lord. Now, let’s review our primary Bible text by reading it aloud, yes, out loud.
John 20:17-19 (KJV)
17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
We pick up our study with Jesus appearing to Mary Magdalene. He is fresh from Hell, and the Bosom of Abraham where He preached to the captives and is now leading them on to Heaven. These Old Testament saints experienced resurrection with glorified bodies, they are the first wave of the First Resurrection. We are the second wave, and those killed during the Tribulation are the third and final wave. Now to Hebrews chapter one and the Resurrection and Restoration of the Christ, Jesus, the Word, the Lord of Hosts.
Hebrews 1:1-3 (KJV)
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Hopefully we reading this teaching are well aware of all that came before Jesus (Old Testament) which spoke of the coming Messiah and of the love of God. These men and women were shamefully treated and Jesus talks about this in His Ministry also noting what was about to happen to Him at the hands of the ruling religious order at the time.
Matthew 21:35-38 (KJV)
35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.
36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.
37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.
38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.
Notice in Hebrews 1:2 and Matthew 21:38 that Jesus is heir of all. We also know we are sons, adopted (same as first born) of the Father. We are children of God, heirs, joint-heirs with Christ at the moment of salvation.
Romans 8:16-17 (KJV)
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
A joint-heir is a participant in common with others, that is Jesus and our brothers and sisters in Christ. This inheritance is not finite, not limited in any way, and equally available to all the children. Wow, wow, what a deal, when will we believe it and step into the fulness of our inheritance for the glory of God and bring the expansion of the Kingdom in the earth? This is not just our finances dear ones, although that is included, but all things pertaining to this life and that to follow!

2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
