EVEN MORE FIRE – FISH – AND BREAD

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog. I hope you are enjoying, even excited about our study this week (every week). What at first glance appears to be a rather boring verse (John 21:9) is filled with revelation. May our God richly bless you in your faithfulness. We appreciate and love those who partner with this Ministry. A partner studies the materials from this Ministry, prays for the Ministry, and financially supports the Ministry. We are always accepting new partners as the Lord so leads you to join with us financially. We also love and appreciate those who are friends of this Ministry meaning that they utilize our materials and pray for the Ministry. Before I move forward, I want to invite you to share this material as widely as possible to extend our reach with the Truth. Now, let’s move forward and read our primary Bible text aloud, yes, out loud.
John 21:9-11 (KJV)
9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.
11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
As you know I have linked, I believe with the leadership of the Holy Spirit, the phrase “a fire of coals” directly with Leviticus chapter sixteen. Leviticus chapter sixteen has to do with the Feast of the Lord known as Yom Kippur or Day of Atonement. It describes the duties of the High Priest in atoning for His own sins and those of the people. Our Savior, the Messiah, Jesus never sinned however He was made sin by the Father to bring redemption from sin and the curse to mankind. That is mankind that accepts Jesus as Lord. Let’s briefly look at the prophetic imagery of the coming Messiah found in Leviticus 16.
Leviticus 16:6 (KJV)
6 And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house.
Aaron was the First High Priest under the Old Covenant; Jesus is our Eternal High Priest under this New Eternal Covenant. Jesus is the sin offering, the bullock. Jesus did not sin but was made sin and that sin had to be paid for. It was His own precious Blood that brought not only His redemption but ours. I sometimes ask people how Jesus got out of Hell. Some do not believe He went to Hell but the evidence is convincing. Jesus got out of Hell the same way that we avoid going to Hell.
Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Jesus overcame by His own precious Blood, He had been made sin, but was Himself innocent and Justice (the Father) could not leave Him in Hell. The second component that brought Him roaring out of Hell into the Bosom of Abraham were the Words of His own mouth, His testimony. Moving ahead we find two goats, both represent Jesus.
Leviticus 16:7-10 (KJV)
7 And he shall take the two goats, and present them before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
8 And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat.
9 And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD’S lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.
10 But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.
One goat (male sheep) was sacrificed for the sins of the people and the blood taken to the Mercy Seat of the Tabernacle and later the Temple. Jesus has just done this with His own precious Blood, presented it to the Father, applied it to the Mercy Seat of Heaven for the forgiveness of our sins, our eternal redemption. This is not automatic as some teach but it must be received by faith in love led of the Holy Spirit. The second goat was called the scapegoat (took the fall in our place) and sent into the wilderness representing Hell. Isn’t this wonderful?
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as your Bible Teacher and a Prophetic Voice in your life I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus’ name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
