AWAKE, ARISE, AND TRIUMPH

MORE FIRE – FISH – AND BREAD
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to The Three Minute Word blog. It is my prayer that you not only enjoy these teachings but they profit you. May our God richly bless you in your faithfulness. We appreciate and love those who partner with this Ministry. A partner studies the materials from this Ministry, prays for the Ministry, and financially supports the Ministry. Now, let’s move forward into our exciting and empowering Bible Study and read our primary Bible text aloud, yes, out loud.
John 21:9-11 (KJV)
9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.
11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
Jesus has risen from the dead (spiritual and physical), even attained unto the Resurrection. Not only that but the Father has fully restored Him as the Second Person of the Triune Co-equal God. Jesus has a resurrection body, immortal, incorruptible, and we will receive ours at our resurrection. Jesus has appeared twice before to the disciples in a very supernatural way and now is appearing to them for a third time on the shore of the sea of Tiberias. With the essential help of the Holy Spirit, we are peeling the Scripture onion to a new level (commonly referred to as getting deep). Please understand that knowledge is king in the Kingdom of God just as it is in the natural world. Let’s think for a moment on the verse number before we move forward. In the Bible nine commonly means Divine completeness which is of God. A couple common occurrences of the number nine is the nine fruits of our spirit and the nine gift of the Holy Spirit. Do you suppose that we can safely conclude that Jesus made available a Divine completeness to mankind? The answer is a resounding YES!
As I move forward let’s take a look at the following verse where we see the first mention of coals of fire. In any Bible Study, and I suppose other studies as well, it is generally enlightening to look at the first use of the word, phrase, or idea. As we look at the ninth verse of our text with natural eyes, we would say that a fire with coals present has been burning for some time. While that is correct, we are not natural people looking only with natural eyes. We are spirit beings living in an earthen body made in the image and likeness of God looking with spiritual eyes.
Leviticus 16:12 (KJV)
12 And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the vail:
The ‘alter’ here is the alter of sacrifice which represents the Cross. This is where the animal being sacrificed for sin would die and then the blood brought within the vail to the Mercy Seat. The coals of fire represent the purifying work of the Holy Spirit.
Isaiah 6:6-7 (KJV)
6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
As wonderful as it would be to have breakfast with Jesus, and He cooked it, much, much more is going on here in our text. Isn’t the Word of God, the whole Word, just so amazingly wonderful? From our text in Leviticus these coals coupled with the incense on the Alter of Incense in the Holy Place would create a sweet aroma which represent the prayers of the saints. This smoke, vapor, sweet aroma, would waft into the Most Holy Place (presence of God). Not a single proper (legal) prayer will be left unanswered by the Father when all is said and done. It would be well worth everyone’s time to read, to study the sixteenth chapter of Leviticus, it is full of Jesus, the Messiah to come.

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
