ARMOR OF GOD – PART THIRTY-THREE
EVEN MORE ABOUT HUSBANDS AND WIVES
Greetings precious saints of God and welcome back to this powerful study of “Gifts” currently focused on the “Armor of God”. I also, want to take a moment to thank each of you who share these teachings. You are a blessing not just to this Ministry but to those who receive the share, whether they realize it at the time or not. They have never received such good news.
Over the last few Fridays, I have been conveying a download from the Lord concerning the condition of the Church as well as move our study of the Armor of God forward. When one studies the Scripture as written with an open mind, we can readily see that we are living well under the will of God. When Old Testament saints with a lesser Covenant are the richest men of their day and living over a hundred years, and we are not, something is wrong. Think about Abraham and Isaac not to mention Job the richest man in the east. Think on this.
Genesis 26:12-16 (KJV)
12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.
13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:
14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.
15 For all the wells which his father’s servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth.
16 And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we.
This is a single man (Isaac) being more powerful than a king and his kingdom. This is a picture of us and the kingdom of darkness. We have a Covenant of plenty, we are children, sons, in the Kingdom of God! All things are ours! Everything the darkness has is since the Cross illegal. When will we arise and possess the Promised Land purchased by the precious Blood of Jesus? This will happen only when we are fully focused on the Kingdom of God and doing things the Kingdom way. The Lord said that like the prodigal son much of the Church have joined themselves to persons of another kingdom (darkness). Not only are they joined to the people of the kingdom of darkness but doing things that are contrary to the Word of God (feeding swine).
Luke 15:15-17 (KJV)
15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
When will we be hungry enough to come to ourselves? Now, let’s turn our attention once again to husbands and wives and submission reading our text out loud. Remember we are building a foundation for the proper function of the Armor of God.
Ephesians 5:21-24 (KJV)
21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
I ended last week asking the question: has the Lord ever forced you to do anything? The short answer is no, He has never forced me to do anything. Have I ever suffered the consequences of not doing as He instructed? You betcha! Have I learned anything? I sure hope so. People talk about the “school of hard knocks” as that is just the way life is, but the reality is that we choose that path whether we realize it or not. Verse twenty-two is telling us that a wife is to submit to her own husband as unto the Lord. A wife that is not fully submitted to the Lord is unlikely to be submitted to her husband as the head of the house. Notice that verse twenty-three tells us that Christ is the head of the Church and the husband wife relationship is the same. Christ makes His will known and then we individually as a part of being His bride decide with our God given freewill to obey or not. He will not force or make us do anything. Obedience brings nothing but victory. Disobedience brings nothing but negative consequences not just to us, but to Christ, the Kingdom of God as well. A marriage in strife cannot move forward, neither can the Kingdom of God.

20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
