WHAT ABOUT ZERUBBABAL? (PART FIVE)
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to our Saturday publication From the Prophets Chamber. We have experienced a successful move to San Antonio, Texas. All has gone very well and we are excited about this new and fresh chapter in our lives. God has wonderful plans for us just as He does for each one of you (Jeremiah 29:11) as we put Him, the Kingdom, and His Word first (Matthew 6:33). Are we doing this or just talking about it? Now, please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible to expand the reach of this Ministry with the Truth. God is so good and nothing but good dear ones. If what is in your life is not good, it is not God, pure and simple. There is one person and one person alone that is responsible for the bad or good things that gain entry into our lives and that is we ourselves. We open or close the door of our lives to God and the devil. What have we been choosing? This is not hard; we only have to look at the fruit of our lives (Matthew 7:16-20).
Now, let’s turn our attention to Zerubbabel. Our title for this teaching asks “What about Zerubbabel”, however, we might want to ask where are the Zerubbabel’s today. The Temple of God in that day was in a shambles and so it is today. We are divided into a multitude of denominations and there are schisms within local bodies. Is this division and confusion of the Lord or the devil? Hope you got this right it is of the devil pure and simple. Our God is not the author of division or confusion. Who will rebuild the temple of God (body of Christ) in the image of God? Now, let’s take a look at our primary Bible text.
Zechariah 4:6-7 (KJV)
6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
The rebuilding of the Temple was not going to be possible in the natural, the supernatural Power (Favor/Grace) of God would be required. We know this from verse six. There were many obstacles to the rebuilding of the Temple but Zerubbabel shouted Grace (Favor) to those obstacles (mountains) and they disappeared. Are we using this pattern, Gods’ way of doing, spelled out by the Master again in Mark chapter eleven? Let’s expand on the Favor or Grace of God further.
Psalm 5:12 (KJV)
12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.
Do we believe ourselves to be the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus? Do we believe that the Favor of God completely encases us? These are of course first steps in receiving, walking in the Favor, the Grace, of God. This is not automatic with salvation dear ones. If someone told you this was automatic and you had no part in it, they were deceived. I am going to list some of the things that come with full activation of the Favor of God in our lives. As I go down through this list be thinking about the lives of Joseph, Daniel, and the Hebrew children. Favor or Grace brings supernatural increase, promotion, honor, restoration, increased assets, victory, recognition, prominence, preferential treatment, policies and rules changed, and battle won we do not have to fight. If anyone is thinking they don’t need all of this, the first thing you need to do is repent of pride and false humility. This is for the Kingdom of God, it is God’s way, it is a witness to those in the kingdom of darkness. Dear one’s part of restoring the Temple of God is to take back the culture, take back the gates of the pillars, the mountains of earthly society.
Proverbs 9:1 (CJB)
- Wisdom has built herself a house; she has carved her seven pillars.
The rebuilding of that Temple returned the ways of God prominently to the culture, and so will the rebuilding of our spiritual house today return the ways of God to our culture. We are to influence and dominate the culture and not the other way around.
1 Peter 2:1-5 (KJV)
1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Do we have the spirit of a Zerubbabel or another spirit? Will each of us accept the challenge to do our part in the rebuilding of our spiritual house or just see this as another interesting teaching?
Lord willing, next week I will bring more fresh manna from the Throne, the mouth of God.
2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
