FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT – FAITH – PART SIX
Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to Friday Nuggets. Currently I am teaching on the Fruit of our spirit. Five weeks ago, I started with the fruit of faith and I will be continuing this week. However much I have to say about faith there remains truck loads more to say. I believe the Holy Spirit our Helper and Teacher will lead us into the Truth we need for this hour. Our Lord, our God is really, really good. Please take a moment and share this teaching as widely as possible by every means available to you. If you haven’t yet ordered my latest book do so today either at Amazon.com/books and search by my full name (Dr. David R. Wood) or order from our new website (awakeariseandtriumphministries.org) and we will get an autographed copy right out to you.

Now let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
At this time let’s again pick up with the Book of James and this idea that faith does not stand alone. Faith is intimately connected to works, the doing of our part, not to mention love (agapē) which we haven’t gotten to yet.
James 2:17-26 (KJV)
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
The final test of the Blood Covenant between Abraham, the Word, the Holy Spirit, and the Father was tested on Mount Moriah in Chapter 22 of Genesis and he passed with flying colors. Abraham and Isaac had unwavering faith in God. Could you, could I have passed that test? I know we would like to say yes and I hope it would be yes. Ever wonder what these spies were doing at Rahab’s’ house? I don’t believe it was for a nefarious (immoral) reason but they knew this would be the last place the officials of Jericho would expect to find them. She somehow had developed an unwavering faith in the God of Israel and took action to save the lives of the spies and in turn this sowing reaped the safety of her and her household. In the same way our service for the people of God will bring benefit, safety to our house. These two make the faith Hall of Fame, we need to be there as well in our time.
Hebrews 11:8 (KJV)
8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
Hebrews 11:31 (KJV)
31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Friday with more Golden Nuggets from the Throne.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
