Now, let’s shift our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud.
Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
The expression of these fruit in our lives is not automatic. I suspect you already know that and I suspect you like me are sometimes disappointed with ourselves in this regard. We repent, receive forgiveness, ask for help (He will not do it for us but He will help by forewarning) and move forward. First let’s take a look at this word translated from Greek to English as meekness. The word, a feminine noun, is transliterated from Greek to English as praotēs meaning to have humility, being gentle, or being humble according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary.
One might look and say, “are there two words in the nine fruit which are the same those being gentleness in verse twenty-two and meekness in verse twenty-three”. This is why we study and don’t just read. The word “gentleness” has to do with usefulness, and moral excellence, even goodness according to Strong’s Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary. The word goodness which follows gentleness has to do with benevolence. So, meekness is humbleness or humility. People with humility (meekness) are unpretentious and have an unassuming nature. The antonym of humility is arrogance which translates to pride, the cardinal sin. The people lacking meekness and it is a choice are the interrupters, the ones who come into the room mouth first, and the ones who know everything (so they think).
Now, let’s look at a wonderful passage in Matthew listening the Words of the Master.
Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV)
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Jesus the Master modeled meekness and He was “lowly in heart” not thinking more of Himself than He ought. Right here is where the Jesus was operating as God in the earth people run into a truckload of problem. You have heard me say (if you were reading out loud to build your faith) in the past that if your life, your yoke is hard and your burden heavy what you are doing is not led of God. Jesus says right here that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Is He joking, telling a fib? Of course not! Many times, what we are doing “for the Kingdom” is self-led, or led by peer pressure. Some walk-in great pride concerning how much they are doing for the Lord; how busy they are with the things of God. We are to be walking in the seventh day, the Sabbath Rest, provision of God. That is not to say we won’t have things to do, we certainly will, but they will be Spirit led and over the top productive.
Let us practice humility not a false self-deprecating facade but be like Jesus unassuming, knowing who we are in Christ casting down all pride, and get about the business of the Kingdom.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here with more Golden Nuggets from the Throne.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
