Romans 10:9-10 (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Welcome to the Kingdom of God! Now, welcome back to the Bible study of this wonderful Book of Isaiah. The featured picture today of seven ancient pillars is to remind us to pray for each and every one of them.
Proverbs 9:1 (PassionNTPsa)
1 Wisdom has built herself a palace upon seven pillars to keep it secure.
The world is a mess, our nation is in a mess, in sharp decline, and it is not the world’s fault, it is the fault of a compromised, complacent, lazy, apathetic Church. Much of the Church is praying for God to fix the problems in the earth or get us out of here before it gets worse. Hate to be the one to tell you dear ones, not going to happen independent of our repentance and obedience. People in Churches everywhere enjoy talking about 2 Chronicles 7:14 and praying and God healing the land. They dance all around the vital part about His (Gods’) people repenting.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text continuing to read out loud, yes, out loud, you know why.
Isaiah 51:5-8 (KJV)
5 My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.
6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
8 For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.
As we move forward the Father (Jehovah) is talking about the coming of the Son (“mine arm”) and people in all inhabited (Isles) places will trust in Him. As Jehovah continues to speak, He reminds them to look to Heaven, really the One in Heaven for all is going up in smoke (so to speak).
2 Peter 3:11-14 (KJV)
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
Do we believe, really believe any of this? One might say: “O yes Dr Wood it’s Bible”. Does our life reflect these verses? Let us take a few minutes and reflect upon Isaiah 51:6 and the 2nd Peter passage above.
Lord willing, I will pick up right here tomorrow. Remember the Lord is good, only good, nothing but good, He is not the author of any of your problems.

2 Chronicles 20:20 b (KJV)
