HEALTH and HEALING – PART TWO

Greetings precious saints of God and those who have not yet abandoned darkness and come into the Light. Welcome back to our Sunday Bible Study. Today I will continue dealing with the importance of our thought life for every area or sphere of life here and there. The featured picture is of a human brain which is part of the material realm, the natural world, the three-dimensional world. The blue lines represent the interaction of our physical brain with our mind which is a part of the immaterial realm, spirit world, the fourth dimension. Our mind is a part of our spirit man, specifically a part of the soul along with our will, and emotions. Be sure you are reading out loud and listen to our anchor Scripture for this teaching.

3 John 1:2 (NASB)

2 Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.

This verse is articulating a spiritual law which works for everyone. For the Christian walking in faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit this law operates on a supernatural level. You see with the phrase “in all respects” that he, the Lord through him, is speaking of everything in our lives. He is praying that we prosper in all things materially and that we be in physical health. Now, notice what limits or enhances our prosperity and health. It is the condition (prosperity and health) of our soul, specifically our thought life. We have 100% control of our thought life and it is imperative that we control our thoughts. That is what the renewing of the mind is all about. Renewing the mind is not the gathering of information but gathering information which by meditation brings revelation making His Word a part of us, our response. It has been said that we cannot control other people or the circumstances around us but we can control our response.

So, how does all of this work? Listen to the Master.

Mark 4:26-29 (NASB)

26 And He was saying, “The kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil;

27 and he goes to bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts and grows—how, he himself does not know.

28 “The soil produces crops by itself; first the blade, then the head, then the mature grain in the head.

29 “But when the crop permits, he immediately puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

Jesus is talking about a spiritual Law of Seedtime and Harvest. This law works for saint and sinner alike. The difference is that for the saint it should be working at a supernatural level. We know from context, “The kingdom of God” that Jesus is talking about a citizen of the Kingdom sowing for a harvest. Put another way, this is a citizen (Christian) actuating a promise of God into their life. The man is you or me. The seed is the Word of God. The soil is our heart. This is not random sowing hoping for the best. This is purposeful sowing already seeing the unseen in our mind, our spirit man. If you can’t see it, you are not in faith, and it isn’t coming to pass.

The soil will produce whatever is planted in it. In this case a promise from the Word of God. However, it could just as easily be a lie of Satan. When we repeat a lie of Satan we are also lying. When we declare (sowing seed) how sick we are this is a lie for that is not what the Word says about us. For example, if we declare we have terrible arthritis in our knees and we are asking God to heal us, it is not going to happen. God never declared terrible arthritis in our knees, He declared us healed, this is lying against the Holy Spirit, for in the spirit realm we are already healed.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Sunday. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
