HEALTH and HEALING – PART FIVE
Greetings precious saints of God and those who have not yet abandoned darkness and come into the Light. Welcome back to our Sunday Bible Study. Today I will continue dealing with the importance of our thought life for every area or sphere of life here and there. The featured picture is of a human brain which is part of the material realm, the natural world, the three-dimensional world. The blue lines represent the interaction of our physical brain with our mind which is a part of the immaterial realm, spirit world, the fourth dimension. Our mind is a part of our spirit man, specifically a part of the soul along with our will, and emotions. Be sure you are reading out loud and listen to our anchor Scripture for this teaching.
3 John 1:2 (NASB)
2 Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.
This letter is written by the Apostle John, the Apostle of love, to the Church. However, this is spiritual law and works for everyone. For the Christian walking in faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit this law can operate on a much higher level, we chose. I hope in the preceding four weeks this Truth that our thoughts and the words we believe that we speak determine the course of our lives. This Truth is from cover to cover in this wonderful Book the Lord has provided for us to walk with tremendous success in life and in godliness. Listen to the Apostle Peter.
2 Peter 1:3 (NASB)
3 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
Now we will go to a lengthy passage that will help us continue to consolidate these Truths.
Proverbs 4:20-27 (NASB)
20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart.
22 For they are life to those who find them And health to all their body.
23 Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.
24 Put away from you a deceitful mouth And put devious speech far from you.
25 Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you.
26 Watch the path of your feet And all your ways will be established.
27 Do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your foot from evil.
Are His Words our first priority? Do we keep them foremost in our thoughts? Notice verse twenty-two that His Words, all of them, are life as God has life and they are health to all of our bodies. Are we monitoring our thought life with all diligence? It is from our thought life that we have determined our situation and condition at this very moment. This should be very sobering to all of us. A deceitful mouth and devious speech are anything and everything that does not agree with the Word of God. Are our feet on His path or one we have chosen. By the way we choose it by our thoughts and words. Have we taken a left or right hand turn away from the Master, away from the Word of God. Only the curse awaits if we have.
Deuteronomy 28:14-15 (NASB)
14 and do not turn aside from any of the words which I command you today, to the right or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
15 “But it shall come about, if you do not obey the LORD your God, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes with which I charge you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:
Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Sunday. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
