FELLOW-HEIRS

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ from Eastern Gate Ministries International and The Three Minute Word publication. Each of us need to remind each other and ourselves to pray for the many governments at every level in these United States. I have posted a map with Arizona highlighted but that is only one state in fifty that needs prayer. Each of us in the Kingdom of God have a responsibility to pray for our nation at every level. We all must ask God if He has any other part that He wants us to play in the stewardship of this government. Whatever part we are to play we are uniquely equipped by Him to succeed and it will be easy and exciting. If it is not easy and exciting it is not of God. Okay, now let’s return to our Bible Study from the book of Ephesians.
Ephesians 3:3-6 (KJV)
3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
6 That the Gentiles should be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
As we look at our text again we are reminded that the fragments of this Truth have been present, available, but the sons of men (men and women of God as a whole) were not quickened by God to put it together for the whole Truth. The Jews, all of mankind, needed a Messiah to save us from sin, death, and the curse. Jesus’ reality and our reality were and are considerably different from Adam’s in that we (and Jesus) face hordes of evil spirits, a cursed earth, and entrenched demonic worldly systems. Jesus showed us the way to overcome all and opened the door legally for the return of the Holy Spirit, The Blessing, into the earth for all men. Jesus was the first Anointed One, we are anointed ones. The Holy Spirit is now free to quicken anyone who choose; Jesus as Lord and once again mankind has the indwelling Spirit of God, the Anointing of God, and the robe of righteousness. Eternal life is restored to mankind Jew and Gentile alike in Christ Jesus. And the cherry on the cake is that we are soon to receive an uncorrupted body. This revelation to the sons of men first came through the Apostles and Prophets as prompted by the Spirit of God and that is still how it works today. Let’s take a look at Ephesians 3:6.
Ephesians 3:6 (KJV)
6 That the Gentiles should be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
The word translated ‘fellow-heirs’ here is the same as joint-heirs in other Scripture. There is only one way of salvation, one path or way to God and that is by the man Christ Jesus.
1 Timothy 2:4-5 (KJV)
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
There is not a different route of salvation for the Jews who for the most part have rejected Jesus. Unfortunately there is coming another holocaust for the Jews when two-thirds will be killed (Zechariah 13:7-9) during the Great Tribulation. One-third will survive and they will recognize and receive the Messiah, the man Christ Jesus and God will take away their sin. They will be cleansed by the same blood and the same testimony as we Gentiles. So the Old Testament saints who died and went into the Bosom of Abraham, those who have received Jesus as Lord since the Cross, those who receive Him during the Tribulation, and those who receive Him at His coming (Second Advent) are all part of the same body, the body of Christ.
As I close out for today, I want to take a moment and discuss this term ‘fellow-heirs’ from Ephesians 3:6 and elsewhere translated joint-heirs.
Romans 8:16-17 (KJV)
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
The meaning is to be a co-heir, a participant in common, to be in union with, and a possessor. Remember, Jesus is the heir of all.
Hebrews 1:2 (KJV)
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Jesus, the Son, is an heir of all concerning God and we in Jesus are joint or fellow-heirs with Him and each other. Notice in Ephesians 3:6 and Romans 8:17 that being a joint-heir is associated with Christ and in Christ. Thank about it, we are not only inseparable from Jesus but we are inseparable from the Holy Spirit. We are one with God. If the Kingdom of God were measureable, whatever Jesus, the Son, inherited from the Father, is the same as what each of us individually inherited from the Father. I know it does not compute but it is the Truth. If it were finite and not expanding the meaning of eternity would be invalid.
