ARE YOU FILLED?
Tuesday – February 28, 2017

Greetings in the name of Jesus on this wonderful Tuesday. Please be reminded to continue to pray for this nation, the governments at every level. Pray especially for President Donald Trump for the men and women around him that they operate in the righteous ways of God. Decree a thing (command it done) and it shall be established. This is not the time for wishy washy timid prayers, it is a time for boldness, speak the Word and He will perform it.
Job 22:28 (KJV)
28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
There are those now and it will continue for some time those who seek to sabotage this administration and thwart the will of God. The will of God can only be accomplished in our faithful exercise of love and faith led of the Spirit of God. The heathen continue to rage because their father Satan is raging because wickedness is coming into the light and they want it hidden in darkness.
Psalm 2:1-4 (KJV)
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Think of all the demonstrations, many were not peaceful but destructive and hateful, look at the hate filling the internet. I don’t know about you but I have been astounded at the darkness that has been revealed since the election of Donald Trump and especially since he took office. As unlikely as it may have seemed or even seem today, he is God’s man for now and this shaking and righting of America will last a generation. Pray brother and sister, do not whine and cry around on your floor, talk (pray) to your Heavenly Father and see what He would have you to speak as a command, a decree, into the earth and do it, do it now for the glory of God.
Now back to Ephesians.
Ephesians 5:18-20 (KJV)
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
I left off yesterday talking about being filled with the Holy Spirit and that this is an experience separate from salvation. No baptism of the Holy Spirit no power, power of the Holy Spirit. There is no flow of the Power of God without the words of a man, a Prophet, and the presence of the Anointing upon that man (or woman). The Anointing today is not upon a person without the filling to overflowing of the Holy Spirit. This filling to overflowing does not come with salvation, it is separate.
John 20:21-22 (KJV)
21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
We have to receive Jesus as Lord to be saved however the agent or executive of salvation is the Holy Spirit, it is He who quickens us, making us a living soul. In the preceding Scripture Jesus is instructing them to receive the Holy Spirit for salvation (be born again, and be born from above). The disciples did not have a problem with this for Jesus had already explained to them that He was going away, and He was sending the Comforter (Holy Spirit) in His place. He also told them they already knew the Holy Spirit who had been with them but soon would be in them.
John 14:17 (KJV)
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
At the time of Jesus ascension into Heaven to sit at the right hand of Majesty on High these followers and all others who named Jesus as their Lord were born again and the Holy Spirit resided within. However, they were not filled with the Holy Spirit to overflowing as evidenced by the speaking in other tongues. Listen to Jesus and then see the fulfillment of His Words due to their obedience (love) and faith (they believed).
Acts 1:4 (KJV)
4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
Acts 1:8 (KJV)
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts 2:1-4 (KJV)
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Bold added by Dr. Wood)
As I finish today I want to point out a couple of things. First the Holy Spirit is the One who quickens or makes us alive to God at the very moment we receive Jesus as Lord. The mention of the word ‘peace’ in John 20:21 is not to calm their natural emotions or give them some kind of comfortable feeling. This is the peace of God which is oneness with God. In the process of salvation we become one with God. At that moment in time forward we should seek to see things, everything, the way He does. Notice in Acts 2:3-4 that the Holy Spirit came upon them and then they were filled and the evidence of the filling was the speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gave utterance. Who was in control of receiving the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues? The one receiving is in control not God. Who is in control of the language to be spoken (other tongue) once the decision is made to yield to God? God is in control of that part and the content of that language. Be filled today in the name of Jesus for the glory of God and to step into a position of operating in the power of God to advance the Kingdom of God in the earth.
