THE APPLE OF HIS EYE
Wednesday – March 15, 2017

Speaking of Israel on behalf of God the prophet Zechariah said the following which must be instructive to us all.
Zechariah 2:8 (KJV)
8 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
Greeting from Eastern Gate Ministries International and The Three Minute Word publication. Thank you Lord for another day to do your will and further the Kingdom of God. Before we move on with Bible Study from the Book of Ephesians I am led of the Spirit of God to make a presentation concerning Israel and the indispensable nature of Israel concerning the Church. Israel and the eternal city of Jerusalem are constantly in the news and there was a recent meeting between President Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In the press conference associated with that very friendly and cordial meeting President Trump said this to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“I’m looking at two states and one state, and I like the one both parties like,” Trump told a joint news conference with Netanyahu. “I can live with either one.”
This was excellent news on all levels, spirit and physical. The idea of a two state solution which dates back to about 1937 before Israel even became a state is an abomination to God. Several recent U.S. Presidents have supported the two-state solution, even some who were professing Christians and should have known better. Unfortunately the very next day our envoy to the UN Nikki Haley said the following which clouds the waters.
“First of all, the two-state solution is what we support. Anybody that wants to say the United States does not support the two-state solution–that would be an error,” US envoy to the UN Nikki Haley told reporters on Thursday.
“We absolutely support the two-state solution but we are thinking out of the box as well: which is what does it take to bring these two sides to the table; what do we need to have them agree on,” the Indian-American envoy said responding to questions on President Donald Trump’s remarks, which he made during a joint press conference with visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
First off let me make the point that the land of Israel is already parted or divided contrary to the title deed given the Jewish people by The Blood Covenant made with Abram (later Abraham).
Genesis 15:18 (KJV)
18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
As we can readily see from the map modern day Israel does not even occupy 10% of the land given it by Almighty God so the countries involved in this deal are already under the judgment of God. Now there are countries, the whole world really, who are looking to part or divide Israel even further. Let’s take a look at God’s take on that.
Joel 3:2 (KJV)
2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
I for one do not want to see America be one of the nations gathered into the valley of Jehoshaphat (Armageddon) where in the great judgment of the nations and the wrath of God blood will flow to a horses bridle.
Revelation 14:20 (KJV)
20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
Let us pray that America have no part in the parting or dividing of the land of Israel. We must not be a party to a two-state peace treaty. Between you and me, peace will never come to the Middle East and when it does come for Israel we will be out of here and there will be the onset of the Tribulation period. Our role toward Israel as individuals, as a Church, and a nation is to bless Israel. That is not to say that Israel is always right but we must always have Israel’s back. Look at what God said to Abram along these lines.
Genesis 12:1-3 (KJV)
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. (Bold added by Dr. Wood)
So, you want to be blessed, bless Israel. There are two major ways that each one of us can bless Israel and that is with our giving (natural things – money), and with our prayer, speaking the Word of God over that people, that nation. The Blood Covenant was initiated with what is recognized as the first Jew, Abram later named by God Abraham, and through that Covenant came Jesus to the Cross of Calvary to redeem all, Jew and Gentile alike.
