PROMISE TO ABRAHAM – PART SIX
Thursday – November 23, 2017

What a wonderful Book Hebrews is and what a wonderful Bible Study that God has given and still giving to us, His wonderful unveiling the secrets of Heaven. Now let us review our primary text from the Book of Hebrews.
Hebrews 6:12-15 (KJV)
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
Our focus is on God’s promise to Abraham which brought the Blood Covenant and in the fullness of time Christ.
Galatians 4:4-5 (KJV)
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
If those who were under the Law who lived and died in faith could not or were not redeemed neither could we be redeemed. Notice in the following passage the branches remaining and those grafted in.
Romans 11:17 (KJV)
17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
Notice that Romans is the sixth book of the New Testament, the number of man, eleven is the number of alignment with God, and seventeen is the number of victory. Isn’t the Word of God marvelous, does it not burn within you? Notice that “some of the branches be broken off” meaning not all Jews only unbelieving Jews (Hebrews) were broken off. Notice we, those who believe on Christ are from the “wild olive tree” or nations (those who are not Jews) and we are grafted in among them and partake of the same root which is God. Now back to the verse of our focus from yesterday.
Genesis 15:17 (KJV)
17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
The smoking furnace is the Holy Spirit and the burning lamp is The Word later called Jesus. So, the LORD (now our Heavenly Father) is making a Blood Covenant with Abraham, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit and they with Him. Jesus is to spill His blood in sacrifice for all sin and to seal this Covenant between the Father and Abraham. The role of the Holy Spirit is to facilitate (enable) Jesus to do all of His assignment, and He does the same for us.
Hebrews 9:14 (KJV)
14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
What a story told us and what a wonderful story we have to tell! Our passage ends with the LORD once again assuring Abraham that he is indeed receiving a land grant forever.
Genesis 15:18 (KJV)
18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

The Jews have never occupied this land grant even during the days of Joshua, David, or Solomon. However, the day is coming very soon when all that is theirs will be a Garden of Eden. Notice the Israeli flag.
The white is for the purity of God, the Davidic Star in the middle is the shield not only of David but of Israel being God. The blue lines not only remind us of the abode of God but one blue line represents the Nile river of Egypt and the other the river Euphrates. The Blood Covenant is in place, now it must be tested, first Abraham and then God. See you tomorrow the Lord willing.
Until our next publication, I speak blessing into your life right now, receive it in the name of Jesus, confess it, and walk it out with thanksgiving.
Numbers 6:24-26 (GW)
24 The LORD will bless you and watch over you.
25 The LORD will smile on you and be kind to you.
26 The LORD will look on you with favor and give you peace.’
