THE LIVING FATHER HAS SENT ME
Monday – January 28, 2019, Sh’vat 22, 5779
Greetings my friends and partners! And of course, I welcome all who are new to this Ministry and this publication, The Three Minute Word, even those who have not yet decided if there is value here for them. I will be continuing today with our Bible Study from the wonderful Book of John. God is so very good to give us His Word that we need not wander around in the dark. Now let’s take a look at our primary Bible text for today reading it aloud putting it in our eyes, our mouth, and our ears.
John 6:56-59 (KJV)
56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.
59 These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
I suspect that many of us if not all of us can identify with the disciples and their bewilderment, even disgust, upon hearing Jesus talk about eating His flesh and drinking His blood for the first time. Just as physical food and drink is nourishment to our physical bodies so is Jesus, the Word, nourishment to our spirit man (soul and spirit). The Word of God, the Bread of life, the Blood of Covenant, is essential to our spirit man first and the more we become like Jesus the healthier our physical man will become as well. As you have heard me say many times before there is no such thing as a person being rich in spiritual things and poor in physical things (finances and health to name two). The Word must be kept pure, that is without the corruption of mans’ traditions and the doctrines of demons which crept into the Church right from the get go. Sometimes people will say; “don’t be such a stickler” but we must eat only the pure Word of God. We don’t knowingly eat contaminated physical food so why do we eagerly eat contaminated spiritual food. People can have a lot of what sounds like the Word of God but it is absent faith (idle words) and or is corrupted. Now let’s turn our attention to verse fifty-seven.
John 6:57 (TLB)
57 I live by the power of the living Father who sent me, and in the same way those who partake of me shall live because of me!
Notice the term “the living Father”, now I ask, is there a dead father? There sure is and his name is Satan! When a person’s father is Satan, they are also dead (spiritually) like their father. On the other hand, if our Father is the living God we also live or have eternal life as He has eternal life by partaking of Christ Jesus. Remember that all creatures have an eternal existence and that existence is either alive if their Father is God or dead if their father is Satan. Jesus speaks of the devil (Satan) being a father.
John 8:44 (KJV)
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Let me be clear about something, this corruption or mixture of the Word of God with another word started in the Garden of Eden. That is what the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil is all about. How long will we be lax (slipshod) and mix the two? When we eat of the fruit of mixture, we don’t harvest a mixture we harvest the whirlwind, the fruits of the devil. We then have a form of godliness but no power. Jesus was sent by the “living Father” and so are we my brother and sister. The power of that life for Jesus was the Father via Holy Spirit and so it is for us in Christ Jesus. Because at some point we choose to partake of His flesh and of His blood we live as He lives. Our commitment to Him (the Father and the Son) must be no less than His commitment to us. Just as Jesus gave us all of Him, total commitment for our lives, we also must make a total commitment to Him. Our bodies are His instruments in the earth we are yielded for the righteous purposes of the Kingdom.
Romans 6:12-14 (KJV)
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
