TRADITIONS, LIES, and TRUTH – PART EIGHT
Saturday – March 9, 2019, Adar B 2, 5779

Greetings saints of God and welcome back to this illuminating Bible Study of the traditions of men and the doctrines of demons that has poisoned the power and effectiveness of the Church and each of us individually. As you will recall I have been talking about the purpose of prayer which includes getting the counsel of God, giving thanks, giving praise, and determining before Him to worship (submit to) Him with an increasing fulness of our heart. We remind Him of the Blood Covenant which binds us together, we thank Him for the free gift of eternal life and all the gifts that came with salvation, we remind ourselves of the obligations we have to Him and express our thankfulness for His provision. In addition, we are an intercessor for others in times of prayer (conversation with God) which must include nations. Concerning nations, it must always without fail include Israel and the United States. Whole books are written on “prayer” so this is not an attempt to cover the topic in detail. However, I want to point out that prayer includes commands we speak in our God given authority (dominion) and God performs the command. This is exactly like in the ministry of Jesus and Jesus said our ministry (each of us individually) was to look like His. God is not the least offended, it is the system He designed right from the creation. Now before we run out of time and space for today, I will now continue to review the Lord’s Prayer, which is really our prayer.
Matthew 6:9-15 (KJV)
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Verse nine has to do with us entering into conversation with our Father, identifying who we are addressing and His relationship to us (our Father), and submitting ourselves to the Father (highest honor). Verse ten has to do with recognizing that His goal must be our goal (we are family). We (God and sons) have a common purpose which is to bring the Kingdom of God back into the earth. With our God given authority and His Power we are to make things in the earth as they exist in Heaven. This is limited of curse by the curse in the earth but as it relates to us our life must be supernatural. Verse eleven has to do with our provisions for that day whether it be natural things or other assets including spiritual, supernatural guidance, needed to do the job. Also, notice this is not a request but a command, we are ordering from Heaven all that will be required for that day. Then in verse twelve we take His forgiveness of any current sin which is a Covenant right because we have forgiven those who sinned against us. Notice this is not a request or begging action. This is paramount to make sure there is no unforgiveness in our lives which when present can cost us our lives and will cause the will of God through us in the earth to flounder. Verse thirteen has to do with asking God to keep us safe from ourselves and the devil keeping in mind that temptation arises in our own minds and we go into sin because we do not control our own lusts. This is a Covenant right. This verse ends with the word “amen”. Let’s take a moment and look at the definition according to Vine’s Expository Dictionary of Old Testament and New Testament Words. “Thus ‘Amen’ said by God ‘it is and shall be so,’ and by men, ‘so let it be.'” Let me point our something here which is vital and a real issue in the Church. When we end a prayer with or without commands in it with the word “amen” we are also saying “it is and shall be” with no reference to time, there is no time in faith, if we said it in faith it is done whether we see it as a present physical reality or not. If we do not have that attitude, that belief, only one possible outcome, which is what we just spoke our lives will be powerless.
Finally, and again (see verse 12) Jesus talks about forgiveness, being forgiven and the critical nature of forgiving others. When we hold onto unforgiveness we are wide open to the attacks of the enemy and there is nothing God can do about it and our mission in the Kingdom suffers great harm. Bottom line, all of this is to get us ready for the day for the work of the Kingdom set before us. Our work in the Kingdom of God is as a king and a priest. Next week I will move forward into the law of decrees from our lips. Now, a teaser for next week. It is critical to understand that we have a Covenant confirmed at Calvary by the sacrifice of Christ Jesus who took our sin, and the precious Blood of Christ Jesus. All that is in this Covenant is ours (our very own possession) and does not require that we ask for it, it does however require that we obtain it by faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit by the words of our mouth.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
