TRADITIONS, LIES, and TRUTH – PART THIRTEEN
LEGAL STANDING
Saturday – April 13, 2019, Nisan 8, 5779

Greetings dear friends and partners and welcome back to The Three Minute Word from this powerful Teaching and Prophetic Ministry. It is my endeavor before God to bring the pure Truth to the body of Christ day in and day out. We, the Church, have been playing patty cake on the sidelines far too long while the devil is beating our brains out. Many seem to enjoy (saying it brings glory or shows the goodness of God – really?) the suffering of the curse. Many are waiting for God to do something when the ball is in our court. It is our responsibility to develop mountain moving faith, it is our responsibility to walk in love, it is our responsibility to follow the leading of Holy Spirit, and it is our responsibility to declare the will, the Word of God, nothing doubting.
I have been teaching about prayer and commands or decrees the last few weeks and I will continue in that vein today. A few days ago, the Lord brought an interesting set of verses to my attention that I review often but had not initially planned to put into this series of lessons. I think all of us will find these verses instructive and give further insight into Bible prayer contrasted with what we commonly see practiced.
1 John 5:14-15 (KJV)
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
I suspect that many of you if not all are familiar with this passage, perhaps have preached it or heard sermons based upon this as the primary text. The “him” and “his” in the fourteenth verse, and the “he” and “him” in the fifteenth verse is the Son of God, Christ Jesus, the Messiah. Although, I would point out that there is a mixing back and forth in the context of “God” presumably referring to the Father, and the Son of God clearly referring to Jesus. This is an important distinction to be aware of for believing on the Father alone but not Jesus is futile, this is what the Jews do today, as before the day of Jesus in the earth. The key, the critical understanding, the critical issue is that we have submitted ourselves to Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior. In that context the Father is all over it, otherwise we are lost and without a Covenant (His will) headed to Hell. The primary and fundamental will of God is salvation, nothing works in God without salvation. Without salvation we are still in the kingdom of darkness, one of Satan’s children and he the father.
The Apostle John by leadership of the Holy Spirit tells us that there is an absolute confidence we can have in God when we ask according to “his will” and we can be confident that “he heareth us”. First, let’s look at the word “confidence”. According to The Complete Word Study Dictionary – New Testament this word is a feminine noun meaning the act of speaking, freedom or frankness in speaking, and confidence or boldness, particularly in speaking. The significance of the word being feminine in gender means it has potential for productivity, both Godly and ungodly. Of course, all is done in humility whether we are talking of God or our fellow sojourners. Notice that confidence and boldness in this situation are pivotal (essential part), we can conclude that God accepts nothing less and that this is based on an unwavering faith. This confidence, this boldness comes because of our relationship with Him (the co-equal Triune God). This is developed over time as we spend time with Him much as it does with natural friendships. We cannot appear before the Throne being of two minds, there must be an absolute confidence in Him for one outcome and one outcome only.
James 1:6-8 (KJV)
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Does anyone have a question about what will be received from God when we are not in faith? The God kind of faith says that there is only one possible outcome, and that one possible outcome is the will of God. Next, we see that when we ask “according to his will, he heareth us”. The will of God is the Covenant of God spelled out in the sixty-six Books of our Holy Bible. If we do not present our case according to the Covenant (will of God) we do not have standing in the court of Heaven, and are not heard, period. The word “ask” in our text also means to call for, desire, or require. Hopefully, we can all see that this could be things that have to do with ourselves or others, that have to do with our enjoyment of life in the earth, or is required for us to carry out our God given assignments. So, whatever we are calling for must be in the Covenant (Policy and Procedure Manual), we must come boldly with confidence, and unwavering trust (faith) in our God. The Word “heareth” is a legal term having to do with proper standing (also a legal term) before God. First, we must be part of the Kingdom (saved), next we must approach in faith nothing wavering, and we must talk the company talk, only what is in the Covenant. All of these things are already available (finances, healing and so on), however, we must place a demand, and the proper demand has standing, gets a hearing, and is performed by God. The next verse (fifteen) tells us that with proper standing not only were we heard but we have (not some future event) the desired thing. By faith, love, and leadership of the Holy Spirit it will manifest in the physical realm.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it by faith in Jesus name!
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
