NO WEAPON AGAINST US CAN PROSPER

Greetings dear saints of God and others and welcome to the continuation of the teaching, shortcut to the ditch. There are many, this is one, a really big one. What I am speaking of today is our emotions. Yes, they are God given and can be wonderful or bring destruction into our lives. We don’t want the situation this young lady is experiencing either physically or spiritually. There are many primary emotions with subtypes. As we think of these six emotions let’s see they can be positive or negative, as a review from last week let me explain briefly. Happiness, are we happy for another or our own good fortune or that someone got their comeuppance? Are we sad for a brief season (30 days or less) or is it a lifestyle. Do you operate in fear which is sin due to circumstances we have allowed or are threatened? What about disgust? Are we disgusted with people or the sin of people and the evil influences behind the behavior? What about anger? Is it your go to emotion? Are you angry about sin and the evil behind sin or with people? Finally, what about surprise? This can occur with many circumstances which most likely leads to another emotion of set of emotions like fear, anger, disgust, etc.
All of us in a lifetime have events in our lives that if allowed will send our lives in very negative directions if we allow it. People can feel broken by these circumstances be it a death, a divorce, or other seemingly life altering events. We must always remember who we are, whose we are, and that we are in Him (Christ Jesus who is in the Father) and the Holy Spirit is within us. All Power and all knowledge is within us and in direct communion with our spirit man. He is not broken and in Him we are not broken either. If we follow our emotions in a negative direction, the way of the world, the ways of Satan we can indeed be broken. This is not in Him but outside of Him more or less on our own. Yes, saved but not eating the fruit of Heaven. A horrible witness for our Father with no light showing. If you missed it last Friday, go back and read it or review the video. I now want to go to two Scriptures to round this teaching out, what the Lord gave me.
2 Peter 1:2-4 (NKJV)
2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,
3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Does it say that “Grace and peace” come by emotion and brokenness? No, it says these things are possessed and manifested by our knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. How much brokenness of any sort of negative emotions are in Bible grace and peace? Zippo Zero! I strongly suggest you get your device or Bible out and read verses five through eleven very thoughtfully. Now let’s look at Isaiah fifty-four.
Isaiah 54:10 (NKJV)
10 For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the LORD, who has mercy on you.
Life can seem like this at times, but it is not so in Him. Our God, our loving Father, our Redeemer tell us that even if the mountains departed and the hills with them His kindness would not depart, His Covenant of peace would not be removed, and neither would His mercy. Keep the impenetrable hedge of the Word of God up, in our thoughts, in our mouth, and actions. Cling to these Words dear ones.
Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV)
17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.
The only weapon that can prosper against a child of God is the ones the child of God allows. How do you condemn the tongues that rise against you? With the Word of God! Notice our righteousness and right doing is of Him. Can any weapon stand against Him? Stay in Him and no weapon can stand against you.
TAKE HOME:
- Emotions are God given and can be wonderful, but they can also be a shortcut to the ditch.
- Grace and peace do not come by way of emotions but by knowledge, receiving it, believing it, and acting upon it.
- When all seems lost, it is not, it is a lie of the enemy, you are whole and safe in Him.
As the Lord wills next Friday, the 24th, will be a new teaching titled “PLAYGROUND, SOCIAL, TEACHING, WORD”. After that I will start teaching on 3rd John the 31st. Remember, we love you, the Lord loves you, and there is nothing you can do about either one.
