TRADITIONS, LIES, and TRUTH – PART FORTY-FIVE
WHOSE GOSPEL DO I HONOR?
Saturday – November 23, 2019, Cheshvan 25, 5780
Greetings saint and sinner alike and welcome back to this powerful study uncovering the traditions of men which are without power, the lies of the devils, and the Truth of God. We must make a practice of having at least two contextual references for everything that we believe. It seems that we, the Church, the body of Christ (the body of Anointing in the earth) have gotten way too comfortable with being spoon fed and not proving the gospel for ourselves. You have heard me admonish us all, me included, to be good Berean’s (Acts 17:10-11). Do we truly understand that we must esteem above all people and all things the Word of the God, the Truth, not a perverted gospel? Do we understand there are spiritual laws (that govern the spiritual and natural world) just as there are physical laws (laws of physics – how the natural world works)? One of those laws is seedtime and harvest. What we sow is what we will reap in our lives. Thoughts and words in which we have faith will reap a harvest. Will that harvest be of the good things of God or of the curse? Are we speaking empty, idle, nonworking words which allows the curse to operate unhindered in our lives? Listen to the following passage.
1 Samuel 2:30 (KJV)
30 Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
This is part of the Gospel. God is saying that if we do not sow honor regarding Him, He is under no obligation to honor us. Each one of us alone decide our future. Look at the 1st Samuel verse in another translation.
1 Samuel 2:30 (TLB)
30 “Therefore, I, the Lord God of Israel, declare that although I promised that your branch of the tribe of Levi could always be my priests, it is ridiculous to think that what you are doing can continue. I will honor only those who honor me, and I will despise those who despise me.
I for one am deciding to on purpose put the Word of God in the very highest place giving full honor and obedience to God, to the Word of God. Let each of us determine to receive the untainted Word of God, believe that Word, and act upon it accordingly. The people of the Old Covenant of animal blood had an inferior covenant yet many times walked in a far better place then we who have a New Covenant sealed with the Blood of Jesus. Am I, are you, walking as those who left Egypt for the Promised Land?
Psalm 105:37 (KJV)
37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
Have we listened to another gospel? What is the reason that we do not have an abundance of silver and gold and why are we feeble? Why are we poor and feeble? This is not the will of God. There is no good purpose; there is nothing noble in poverty or sickness. There is no glory for God in our poverty or sickness. What other gospel have we listened to and adopted to explain our circumstances. God does not teach us or try us with poverty or sickness. The real Gospel says that we should have more than enough silver and gold and we should not become or be feeble.
John 10:10 (KJV)
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
So, who is doing the stealing, killing, and the destroying? It is the thief otherwise known as Satan, who is our adversary. God is nowhere in stealing, killing, and destroying! Where there is no righteousness, no intercession, no faith, and no obedience to the Word (love), there will be mayhem. In this preceding passage Jesus says I am the one that gives life and that life will be abundant. In the Amplified Version of the Bible it says the abundance should be overflowing. God wants us to have the overflowing life, zoe life, life like God knows life. This is not just eternal life and mansions in the hereafter but now in this time. Don’t you suppose that life in Heaven is something to behold? Well, He wants us to have a life that is as close as possible to Heaven in this fallen world. As we walk in the fullness of life bought at Calvary we can lead others into this life. Then others will see that we have a real, living, and good God. As it is, much of the time, our God is not better than theirs, in their eyes.
We see a jealousy and envy in the body of Christ concerning prosperous Christians or Ministries which says things like; “they don’t need that plane or that big house”. Sounds like the disciples when the woman broke the alabaster box and anointed Jesus don’t you think.
Matthew 26:8-9 (KJV)
8 But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
9 For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.
Now, Jesus did not just chime in to say, oh yeah, you’re right, but the box is already broken so let her be. Jesus rebuked them and so He rebukes that thought and speech today. That was Satan speaking through the disciples. Let’s stop being the mouthpiece of Satan.
Matthew 26:10 (KJV)
10 When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.
I submit that this is how the Father lives and He wants the same for His children now in the earth, and there in Heaven. This person with the plane and so on can reach more people. These signs of affluence are a powerful testimony to the world and our brothers and sisters. They are a testimony of the goodness of ur God, the result of our obedience (love) on display. Put away your pious poverty and love God.
I will leave you with the prayer the Apostle John prayed for Gaius in third John.
3 John 1:2 (AMP)
2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.
Wealth and health are the will of God, poverty and sickness is the will of our demonic enemies, which will we choose? Supernatural wealth and health come only by our love for God, which is obedience to the Word of God. We must act in faith (in God, in the Word), in love (selflessness), and as led of the Holy Spirit.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
