TRADITIONS, LIES, and TRUTH – PART FIFTY-FIVE
ON BEING RICH
Saturday – February 8, 2020, Sh’vat 13, 5780
Greetings my precious brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus and welcome back to this series that endeavors with the help of The Helper, The Teacher, to discern the traditions of men and the doctrines of devils from the Truth. If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to encourage us and to enlarge the reach of this Ministry. As you can see, I am about to plunge into an area, talking about money, that causes many pastors to run for cover. They all want a big offering then preach against wealth and declaring the ills of earthly riches (in their corrupted minds). God wants us rich (in earthly possessions and spiritual things) and healthy but being rich is higher on His list than health. By the way it is always the will of God for us to be rich and is always the will of God for us to be healthy. Anything less is a failure to walk in our Covenant.
As an aside let me briefly discuss two issues. First is the idea that we consider thinking about our money and other possessions, which by the way should be first class, as tools for our use and for Kingdom of God purposes. For example, your car should be top of the line and is not only a witness to the world but a tool to further the gospel. It is a tool in the sense of getting to meetings and so on as well as perhaps taking other people and showing them the goodness of God. Our homes should be mansions (not cracker boxes) so that we can entertain even take a wounded brother, sister or couple in for a brief time or entertain more fully showing the goodness of our God. The second issue is to get away from saying we love our home, our car, ice cream or anything other than the Lord and people. To say we love our car which is very temporal in the same breath that we say we love God, dramatically cheapens our love of God and people. Enjoy the things of life but love (agape) God and people. Quit telling your dog and cat you love them or that they love you (they have no capacity for love). All animals are for our enjoyment, our use. Now, back to the idea that God is more interested in us having money then health.
Psalm 105:37 (KJV)
37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
Acts 10:38 (KJV)
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
3 John 1:2 (AMP)
2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.
Notice the order is riches than health in all three verses and these are by three different witnesses. Scripture tells us to let all things be established by two or three witnesses. Looks like this teaching is going to be a multi-week deal but we will take our time for none of us are to be ashamed of striving to attain or increase wealth, it is in fact the will of God. All of the earth, the wealth of the earth belongs to the Lord, our Lord. God passed all authority over these riches (wealth). The devil got possession or control by his people by deceiving God’s people, thus he subverted the authority God gave to mankind. Jesus got this authority, and immediately delegated it to His people by the use of His name (which is also our name). We have His power of attorney and in addition we are family. Anything the devil and the people serving him (the heathen) have is illegally possessed, period. It belongs to the people of God. If it’s God’s it is ours! It always has been for the people of God even in the Old Covenant.
Psalm 24:1 (KJV)
1 The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
Consider that just as Melchizedek in Genesis the 14th chapter said that God was possessor of heaven and earth and that Abram was also possessor of heaven and earth so are we in Christ Jesus. This account not only foreshadowed the Communion Table but the idea of being a joint-heir or owner of all with God.
Haggai 2:7-8 (KJV)
7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.
If it is His it is ours as well! The “desire of all nations” which is wealth and influence belongs to the people of God and is ours for the possessing.
Hebrews 1:2 (KJV)
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
We are in Christ Jesus, whatever is His is ours! We have His salvation not another salvation, a lesser salvation!
Romans 8:17 (KJV)
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Can we say thank you Jesus, thank you Father, can we say that we receive this, that we believe this, and that we ask Him to show us the way to our wealthy place (not just spiritual although that will precede the physical). Then act upon it in faith, in love, as led of the Holy Spirit. Money and possessions (assets) are a tool to use not just to enjoy in our own lives but to enrich others lives along the way and to further Kingdom causes. Lord willing, I will pick up right here next week.

Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.

24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
