IF MY PEOPLE – PART FIVE
Sunday – May 3, 2020, Iyar 9, 5780
Greetings my dear and precious brothers and sisters in Christ. Welcome back to this Sunday series, today titled “If My People”. By the time you read this the situation with the Corona virus will be in a different but not better place than today (March 18, 2020). The title for this teaching as you may have already recognized comes from a very familiar 2 Chronicles passage. This teaching is a five-part series ending today. Most of you may be able to quote verse fourteen of the following passage due to seeing it and hearing it so often. I have been hearing this verse prayed, read, and quoted for decades. Why do you suppose this prayer goes unanswered to this day and in fact things have gotten far worse? Are we missing something? Is the land being devoured and are there pestilences among us? In the Kingdom of God, the way out of any mess is repentance. Righteousness and obedience do not lead us into any messes, any stealing, killing, or destroying but abundance. The manifestation of God in our life. Unrighteousness and disobedience do lead us into messes with stealing, killing, and destroying. The manifestation of devils, the curse, in our lives. Let us turn our attention to the text and read it slowly and reflectively (thoughtfully, meditatively) aloud. Yes, aloud!
2 Chronicles 7:12-16 (KJV)
12 And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.
13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
God is leaning forward on His Throne waiting with all of Heaven for us to recognize that we are not seeing the promises of God being performed in our lives. No one wants abundance (wealth and health) in our lives more than God the Father. The reason we are not seeing it is our own wickedness. It is not God working some mysterious plan out in our lives. God is not in control; He is not controlling our choice to be obedient or to be disobedient. He gave us authority and freewill and lots of evidence of which choice is best (Holy Word plus the Holy Spirit to guide). Wickedness is anything that is not in full alignment with the Word of God. Over the centuries the Gospel has been watered down to such an extent that it bears little resemblance to what is actually written in the Bible. Yes, our preachers are reading verses to us and expounding on them but it is polluted with wickedness. Many of our song services (a tradition of men) are rife with tradition without power and the doctrines (lies) of demons also without the Power of God. God will confirm His Word. We are not seeing the gospels or the Book of Acts before our eyes. Why? We are not speaking the Word of God in faith, in love, led of the Spirit of God. Jesus said He only said what the Father said, and only did what He saw the Father doing, and the Father did the works. What about us? Dear ones, the Power of God is supposed to be flowing through us just like Jesus, and just like all the others the Power of God flowed through in Scripture. What is the problem? The problem is unrepented wickedness!
Let’s us again consider the Words of Jesus and determining in ourselves to align with Him, with all of the Words from the mouth of God.
John 8:38 (KJV)
38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
John 14:10 (KJV)
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
John 14:12 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
If we do it the way Jesus did it, will we get the results Jesus got?
Mark 16:19-20 (KJV)
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Acts 1:8 (KJV)
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
We have seen or heard of these things down through time but the miracles in the life of Jesus and the first century disciples are now not common place as then, but rare and sporadic. Why? We lost the flow of the Anointing when we mixed the ways of the world with the ways of God just like Adam and Eve in the Garden. Let us repent and turn from our wickedness and let God heal us and heal our land. Then the end shall come.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
