LIGHT – ANOINTED WORD
Thursday – April 30, 2020, Iyar 6, 5780

Greetings dear and precious saints of God and welcome back to this powerful and course correcting study of the Bible Book of John. God is so good to give us His Word, a roadmap for a life, life just as He (God) enjoys life. One might say, Dr. Wood that just isn’t possible in this curse filled, devil filled world. Well according to the Scripture it is not only possible but our Heavenly Father fully expects us to live in that place. This is done by strict adherence to the Word of God and not by an on again off again approach. We can walk with overflowing wealth and health as well as a wall of impenetrable protection. Jesus walked in all of this before the Cross, under the Old Covenant, and told us to do as He did and even greater things. What in the world is our excuse? If you are reading this on Facebook please take a moment to hit the “love” and “share” buttons to expand the reach of this Ministry. I hope you enjoyed the pictures this week from the ranch I owned in Texas. Todays picture is of Donna and me on the Riverwalk in San Antonio in April of 2019 (waiting for the barge to cast off).
I am writing this on the 30th of March and by the time you read this on the 30th of April this pestilence will be waning, but far from gone. If we have not repented, have not seen repentance in our individual Church, have not seen repentance in the Church at large, and have not seen a repentant nation, do not have a false confidence that somehow all of our prayers chased this coronavirus away. Unrepented sin leaves an open door for our spiritual enemies to bring stealing, killing, and destroying into our lives. If this pestilence wanes and goes out of sight, without a widespread repentance in the Church first, then in the nation, we are simply seeing a natural cycle, this apparent safety is an illusion. The next pestilence will be of greater intensity (sicker, and more deadly). We as individuals and even Churches who have repented (even if we were not yet sure what of) with a whole heart, can have absolute protection with the leadership of the Holy Spirit and by not tempting God (which is sin).
For the last several months the Lord has had me to pray in a certain way concerning those on my prayer list, and in my sphere of influence. 1. First, He has had me to pray for a rising hunger for the Truth in me and for all those for whom I pray as well as the Church at large. 2. Second, I am praying for an increasing clarity of spiritual sight and thought not just for Donna and me but all who are on my prayer list, as well as the greater Church. 3. Third, I am praying for a cleansing fire (Holy Spirit) to remove all lies of the enemy when we identify them, repent of them, and change our thinking. 4. Fourth, the Lord has assured me that when these things are done in our individual lives there will be a billowing glory (goodness of God) shown forth from us as individuals and in the Churches, who have repented (heartfelt with the accompanying 180-degree change). I realize that this week the lead in to the teaching has been extra-long. This preamble is as important, if not more, than the teaching to follow. Without widespread repentance in the Church hang on for a very rough ride. The rising remnant I have spoken of however will not have a rough ride. Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible Text from the Book of John reading it aloud, yes aloud.
John 15:22-25 (KJV)
22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
I am picking up again today with verse twenty-two and the phrase “they have no cloke for their sin”. I am going to approach this in a little different way today that may help bring clarity to our thinking in an area. First, think about the Bible Numerology associated with this verse. John is the fourth Book of the New Covenant and four is the number of light, authority, and Power. John refers to Jesus as the great light which came and His own recognized Him not (John chapter one). Jesus restored our authority and the flow of Power in response to that authority exercised in faith, in love, led of the Holy Spirit. This is chapter fifteen and this is the number of rest or the provision of God. Certainly, Jesus was a wonderful provision, the Lamb of God, to wipe out the works of the devil. Finally, twenty-two is the number of light. Jesus is the great light of the creation (Genesis chapter one, fourth day of creation), and we are the lesser lights to give light upon the earth in the day and in the night. Let’s briefly consider the following passage which I hope is familiar to us all.
1 John 1:5-10 (KJV)
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Please notice that verse six and verse seven are two different sets of circumstances both chosen by the individual (not God). In verse six the person is saying they are in fellowship with the Lord but are knowingly walking in darkness. They are lying. We are all without excuse in that we knew the Truth at one time but hardened out hearts and over time are in complete darkness and not knowingly lying. The Church is here today and I am concerned this is where the Church (not the rising remnant) will remain. There are many traditions of men and doctrines of demons in the Church which the leaders and the people believe to be the Truth. That has no power and no grace. The person in verse seven on the other hand has some darkness in them which they are unaware of but are purposefully walking in the light they have. In this circumstance of walking in the light, not mixing darkness and light, the Blood of Jesus cleanses the roots of sin in us yet undetected and rooted out. Verse eight is where the Church is today, knee deep in sin, in total darkness speaking lies as the Truth. Verse nine (spiritual perfection) tells us what to do when we do judge ourselves and the Holy Spirit shines a light on a hidden sin. In this way we stay in the safety of the light and become more like Him.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
