GIFTS – PART TWENTY-EIGHT
Friday – May 1, 2020, Iyar 7, 5780
Greetings to our dear and precious friends and partners and thank you for rejoining this Friday series titled “Gifts”, gifts from God. I will be addressing this plague in the land at some length today before moving back to Genesis twenty-two and the legal foundation that brought the Messiah into the earth. As you all know we are experiencing a great plague, pestilence, here and around the world called the Coronavirus pandemic. This pestilence is not from God, created by and sent by, this is a part of the curse. With sin came separation from God, death (spirit and body), and the curse. When we are doing the will of God the Blessing is at work in our lives but when we turn aside to other words, other gods, the curse is loosed in our lives. Repentance drives away the curse and the curse can be stayed by intercession by a child of God or a group. The curse which includes every type of stealing, killing, and destroying is always of the evil one(s) and can only occur where there is unrepented sin and no intercession. The devil(s) don’t just have free reign, everything is Father God filtered, He is justice. When a case is brought by the accuser of the brethren to God and a judgement is rendered in his favor, like Job, he has a certain freedom in our lives. With regard to society at large the Church can intercede for their area, State, and Nation and hold back the destroyer. The interceding individuals must have standing to have the intercession heard and to stay the stealing, killing, and destroying among the devil’s own people and God’s people. We don’t have standing to be heard by God if we have not repented of our own wicked ways. Meditate the following and don’t be confused by verse thirteen.
2 Chronicles 7:13-14 (KJV)
13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
God has to allow drought, locusts, and pestilence when a case is brought by the accuser and wickedness is found in God’s people. God then renders a judgment with limits just like a natural court. God’s people then and now have turned aside to other words, to other gods. That judgement allows these things, part of the curse, to occur, afflict God’s people. Each person has to examine their own hearts, judge themselves, with the help of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, find, repent of, and eliminate the wickedness that allows the curse reign in our lives. Commonly the wickedness is an error in thought and words from a corruption of Truth by the traditions of men and the doctrines of devils. Consider the following.
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:18 (KJV)
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
I for one do not want to be in error concerning the Truth and overthrow the faith of others. When we have faith in a lie it is not God who is at work in our lives. We are commanded by God to study His Word and to rightly divide the Word of Truth. If the Word can be rightly divided it can be wrongly divided. When it is wrongly divided, we are snared by the devil.
2 Timothy 2:25-26 (KJV)
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
Let us pray everyday that in our diligence God will reveal any error in our thinking that we can acknowledge the Truth, repent, and recover ourselves from the snare of the devil. This is very, very, serious dear ones. We as individuals and as a Church decide, not God, just how much pestilence we are going to have.
Now for just a moment before we finish for today let’s look at the text from Genesis we have been studying. We have been looking in great detail at the Covenant with Abraham and how it formed the legal foundation for the coming of the Messiah.
Genesis 22:17-19 (KJV)
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
19 So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.
God has just tested the strength of the Blood Covenant between them and with Abraham and Isaac. Abram entered into Blood Covenant with God for the future of Israel, the Hebrews, and for the Seed who would take away the sin of the world. Abraham and Isaac pass the testing of the Covenant on Mount Moriah, the very same place Jesus would hang on the Cross some two thousand years later. Because Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son, and his son, Isaac, was willing to be sacrificed, God now had to be willing to sacrifice His Son, and His Son had to be willing to be sacrificed. Lord willing, I will pick up right here next Friday.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
