ASK AND YE SHALL RECEIVE

Greeting to all people, friend and foe alike, who follow these teachings and this Ministry. Thank you and welcome back to this Bible Study of the wonderful Book of John. Please take a moment to share this teaching as widely as possible. Let us make the Truth common knowledge. The Corona virus pandemic continues and the raging of “saint” and sinner alike, unrest and rebellion, manifest in the streets of America continues. Review the second Psalm which discusses the raging of the heathen, but now we see the Church raging right along with them. With the arrival of the Pandemic and the proper response of government to protect people with the various guidelines a rebellion arose as quickly in the Church as among the heathen. Why hasn’t the Church set the example with regard to obeying authority? Why hasn’t the Church taken the attitude of saying to the government; “what can we do to help?” as opposed to what can we do to complicate your life. There are many Scriptures that make it clear that we are to submit to authority. What about our failing to set the example and thereby offend our brother? Just put the word “mask” into the verses of the following Bible passage. Perhaps you are fully protected according to Psalm 91 among other Scriptures, or perhaps not, in any event we are not to rebel (rebellion is of the devil) or be a stumbling block for anyone, saint or sinner.
1 Corinthians 8:9-13 (KJV)
9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.
10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;
11 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?
12 But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.
13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.
Now, let’s turn our attention to our primary Bible text and read it aloud, yes, out loud just as you did the preceding Scripture.
John 16:23-25 (KJV)
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.
As we pick up our text Jesus is giving the assembled disciples and us instruction as to how to receive from the Father. They have been traveling with Him for three years and whatever they needed or wanted He has provided but now He is leaving. These instructions are a part of the whole (the whole counsel of Scripture). The words “ask” and “pray” have been wildly abused by the Church over time. These words have been equated with begging and the statement; “you just never know, sometimes the answer is yes and sometimes no.” Really! Just what Scripture did that demonic saying come from? This is what my Bible says.
2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV)
20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
Dear saints we have a Blood Covenant with the Triune Co-Equal God which we entered at the time of our salvation. A key component of partaking of the benefits of our Covenant is dying to self.
Hebrews 9:16-17 (KJV)
16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
A ‘testament’ is a Covenant and a ‘testator’ is one who enters a covenant. This Covenant (The Holy Bible) contains specific steps to enter, standards of behavior, obligations, and benefits. What is available to any and all of us is not limited, it is regulated by our working of the Covenant. As one watches the behavior of much of the Church in this Pandemic is it any wonder so many are in poverty and lousy with disease? Did Jesus die so we could have poverty? Is that a provision of the Blessing or of the curse? Seems like we have a problem dying to self, which is a part of the definition of love (agape).
2 Chronicles 20:20b (KJV)
20 … Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Until our next publication, as a Bible Teacher and Prophetic Voice I speak this blessing over each and every one of you, receive it, believe it, and speak over yourself and your family by faith in Jesus name! Quit asking God to bless you, you are already blessed, you have the Blessing, give Him something to do by the words of your mouth. Once you know the will of God, decree the thing (Job 22:28, Isaiah 45:11, Mark 11:23). (The Blessing is the Holy Spirit) We have left God way to long with nothing to do in our lives.
Numbers 6:24-26 (AMP)
24 The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you;
26 The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).
